Some readers say this book has a bit more of a Gothic edge than her other works, which they liked. But some felt it wasn’t as balanced of a story as they were used to. Have you read this one?
At the Billionaire’s Wedding is $2.99! This book features a handful of favorite authors: Maya Rodale, Caroline Linden, Katharine Ashe, and Miranda Neville. Normally, these authors write amazing historical romances, but this a contemporary romance anthology with billionaires. My favorite story of the bunch was Linden’s “Will You Be My Wi-Fi?”
Bellewether by Susanna Kearsley is $2.99! We did a Cover Reveal for this one, since it was such an interesting departure from Kearsley’s usual covers. Some readers felt this one was slow to start, while others loved Kearlsey’s beautiful writing. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads
RECOMMENDED: The Ones Who Got Away by Roni Loren is $2.99! This romance came out in January and I really enjoyed it and its portrayal of people living with trauma. I gave it a B+, but as it deals with victims of gun violence, I completely understand why readers may want to avoid it.
If the subject matter doesn’t scare you off and your catnip is friends to lovers, slow burn-y goodness, The Ones Who Got Away is highly worth the read.
Damsel in Distress by Heather Graham is $2.99! This historical romance has a heroine who is a maiden by day, and a bandit by night. This is a reprint of the same book under Graham’s other pen name, Shannon Drake, just in case the book sounded familiar to anyone. Some readers though there was way too much going on, while others loved the sense of adventure.
RECOMMENDED: Amberlough by Lara Elena Donnelly is $2.99! Thank you to everyone who let us know about this sale! The book also has a new cover. I like it, but I’m not sure if I like it more than the old one. What do you think? Carrie read this one and really loved it, giving it an A. However, she warns of a cliffhanger. The next book is out May 15th!
The Splendour Falls by Susanna Kearsley is $2.99 at Amazon, so the deal could be ending soon. This is an older Kearsley title features the hallmarks of her novels: parallel storylines in the present and past, a mystery, and some romance. While some readers adored it, others felt the mix of history and contemporary plot was out of balance. Her other book, The Winter Sea, ( A | BN | K | G | AB | Au ) is also on sale!

Blood of the Earth by Faith Hunter is 99c! This urban fantasy novel is the first in the Soulwood series, which seems to be a spin-off of Hunter’s Jane Yellowrock series. It was also recommended during our SBTB Reader Recommendation Party at RT 2017. I remember because I immediately added it to be TBR pile.

Kearsley is a wonderfully evocative writer, blending historical, paranormal, mystery and romance into rich and absorbing books. However, others felt this isn’t one of Kearsley’s strongest works.
