Moonstruck is more like an uneven pilot episode or two in a series that has potential to be entirely, utterly kickass. If it were tv, I’d keep my series recording on for a few more episodes in hopes the potential pans out. There is SO MUCH POTENTIAL. I’m 2000% here for the sequels, because this is a world worth revisiting many, many times.

Storm Watch by Jill Shalvis is $2.99! This was originally published under the Harlequin Blaze imprint and has a 3.8-star rating on Goodreads. The heroine, who used to have a crush on the hero in high school, needs his help. She’s worried her sister might be trapped in her flooded condo. Fans of Shalvis loved this book, but some couldn’t really connect with the heroine.

Lost my mind last night when I saw that two Susanna Kearsley books were on sale. I ended crawling out of bed at almost midnight to fire up my kindle & buy them.

Jill Shalvis is a go-to for me, but I disliked this one. There’s a huge rush to go save the sister, but they keep pausing to make out. Meanwhile flood waters are rising? Ugh, no, the urgency of the structure didn’t work with the choices the hero/heroine were making.
