RECOMMENDED: Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend by Emma R. Alban is $1.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! Carrie read this and gave it an A:
Every time I think of this book, I smile. Dear readers, I regret that I have forgotten so many of the finer points of the book. However, I can promise you that it will leave you smiling.
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst is $1.99! This came out last summer and I’ve heard it’s lovely, but may fall into the category of “no plot, just vibes.” Have you read this one?
RECOMMENDED: Diablo Lake: Moonstruck by Lauren Dane is $1.99! Sarah reviewed this one and thought it was a great start to the series. Here are some of her thoughts:
This paranormal small Southern town of shifters and witches and rival pack tensions between the Dooleys and Pembrys is immersively fun, sexy, and thoughtful. Bonus points: witches AND vivid, loving female friendships.
How You Get the Girl by Anita Kelly is $2.99! This is book three in the Nashville Love series and it was released in February! Many readers of the Bitchery have enjoyed Kelly’s queer contemporaries.
I liked the painstaking and careful character development of the first half more than the zoomy-zoom plot of the second half, but the foundation of historical fiction and incredible detail coupled with folk magic, ghosts, and negotiating with spirits made this an exceptionally fun, absorbing, and thoughtful story.
The Secret to a Southern Wedding by Synithia Williams is $1.99! This is book one in the Peachtree Cove series and it’s a small town romance. We featured this cover on a previous edition of Cover Awe!

For the Love of the Bard by Jessica Martin is $1.99! This is a contemporary romance with a second chance aspect. It definitely seems like there’d be interest if you like Jen DeLuca’s ren faire romances. I believe this is a debut and the first in a series, with a second book out soonish.
The Dating Plan by Sara Desai is $1.99! This is a contemporary romance that came out a little over a year ago and has a fake relationship. I’ve loved how colorful all of Desai’s covers have been. Have you read this one?
RECOMMENDED: Opening Up by Lauren Dane is 99c! I love the covers of this entire series. This is the first book in the Ink & Chrome erotic contemporary series. Elyse gave the book an A-:
This book was incredibly sexy and often very funny. It made me duck out on the coworker I was traveling with: “I’d love to go to TGI Fridays with you, but PJ and Asa have a new leather cane they’ve been dying to try out and also I need to know how his weenus piercing feels without a condom, so I’m gonna just head up to my room, ‘kay, thanks.”
