Pony Confidential by Christina Lynch is $6.99! This is a little higher than your typical sale price, but it’s a pretty new release (Nov. 5th). Elyse read this one and thinks it’s well worth the sale price. When asking her what she thought, this is what she said:
It’s funny and made me happy cry. Warning that one horse does die within the book.

RECOMMENDED: Strange Love by Ann Aguirre is $2.99! Elyse loved this one and gave it an A:
Strange Love by Ann Aguirre is a shining example of just how good a romance novel can be, even if the hero has mandibles, and I recommend everyone go read it now.

If You Desire by Kresley Cole is $1.99! This is the second book in the MacCarrick Brothers trilogy about a group of Scottish brothers who think they’re cursed. This isn’t a paranormal romance like Cole’s current books.

Highland Crown by May McGoldrick is $2.99! Elyse read this one and gave it a C, but notes:

She also mentioned it feels more like a historical adventure with romantic elements than an outright romance.
Highland Crown by May McGoldrick is the first book in a Scottish historical series, and despite the absence of a time-travel element, it feels extremely Outlander-y. The book features a doctor heroine, an outlaw hero, and both are on the run from a very bad English solider. Sound familiar? The book is a lot of fun and it’s got almost non-stop action that makes it easy to read in a single sitting. Unfortunately all that action … Continue reading Highland Crown by May McGoldrick

Ashwin by Kit Rocha is 99c! This is the first book in their spin-off Gideon’s Riders series and it’s not necessary to have finished the Beyond series to jump into this one. My complaints for this romance were that there was a lot given to introducing the large cast of characters. I still enjoyed the central couple and the secondary characters made me excited for future books.
Taking place in a Highland setting a few years after the Rough Wooing, this is the middle story in a trilogy about young women possessed of mystical stone fragments and attendant powers. Innes Munro inherited one of these stones from her mother, and can, by the power of touch, though only with her hands, read the current thoughts and past of others. Innes accompanies her sister Ailein to the northern Highlands to attend Ailein’s wedding … Continue reading Taming the Highlander by May McGoldrick
