Readers loved the world building and thought the heroine had a nice blending of being confident yet vulnerable. However, some said they felt a little lost in all of the action. Be warned that there is some consent issues regarding spanking, as commented by Lia in a previous sale post.

I won a copy of LADY IN WAITING from Goodreads and devoured it in one sitting. Really enjoyed it. Was worried about the issues of class and other power dynamics being explored but thought they were well done. Highly recommend to historical fans looking for something new.
