RECOMMENDED: The Right Swipe by Alisha Rai is $1.99! Maya read this one and gave is an A:
The Right Swipe is an amazing, well written story about two people of color falling in love as they come to terms with how the physical, psychological, and emotional traumas they experienced continue to affect them both. It was also, for me, a quiet little moment where I felt my existence was acknowledged.

Black Sheep by Rachel Harrison is $1.99! I really enjoy Harrison’s horror novels. I read this one and gave it a B-:
While I could have used more oomph overall, the delivery is full of enough sardonic quips and macabre comedy that I had to keep reading.

RECOMMEND: The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary is $2.99 and a KDD. We had a great guest review of this one and Lisa the Librarian gave it an A-:
It was romantic, sweet, hot, funny, and original – everything I’m looking for in a romance. I can definitely see myself rereading this in the not-too-distant future.

What a fever dream of a book, I tell ya hwat. To shelve it into a category, this is a dark fairytale (Beauty and the Beast) romance with dystopian elements. Set in a sort of futuristic Silicon Valley, four families run the world’s most prominent social media conglomerates. Someone to Romance by Mary Balogh is $2.99! This is book seven in the Westcott series. I don’t think it’s necessary to read them in order, but I know the characters are interconnected and it might make for a more enriching experience. Do you have a favorite in the series?

Lady Scandal by Laura Lee Guhrke is $2.99! This is book two in the Scandal at the Savoy historical romance series and it came out over the summer. There’s no obvious nobility, if that’s your catnip. Book one, Bookshop Cinderella, was on sale in September if you grabbed that one and are looking to stay current.

Strange Beasts by Susan J. Morris is $1.99! Thank you to everyone who let us know about this sale and fingers crossed it sticks around. Elyse recently gave this an A:
This is a paranormal adventure meets gothic mystery with a sapphic love story intertwined in all of that. It has shades of Penny Dreadful, non stop action, and it’s just a blast to read.
