RECOMMENDED: Her Best Worst Mistake by Sarah Mayberry is $2.99! I think this may be its regular price, but Sarah says it’s worth the cast. She reviewed this one and gave it an A-:
This book is amazing: confident and clever, funny and touching, and wonderfully done.
Temporary by Sarina Bowen and Sarah Mayberry is 99c! I mentioned this one on a previous Hide Your Wallet because I’ve enjoyed both authors previously. I know many of you have too. Have you read this one? What did you think?
Need You Now by Nicole Helm is 99c! This is the first book in the Mile High Romance series. It’s a contemporary romance with opposites attract elements. Readers seem divided on the hero. Some loved his grump nature, while others thought his grumpiness bordered on sad and rude.
Diablo Lake: Moonstruck by Lauren Dane is 99c! Sarah reviewed this one and thought it was a great start to the series. Here are some of her thoughts:
This paranormal small Southern town of shifters and witches and rival pack tensions between the Dooleys and Pembrys is immersively fun, sexy, and thoughtful. Bonus points: witches AND vivid, loving female friendships.
The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl by Issa Rae is $1.99! This is a memoir with a lot of humor and even inspired Rae’s HBO show Insecure. Many readers found Rae’s essays to be self-deprecating and relatable. However, some readers had issues with Rae’s narrative style.

Y’all, it includes Tim Tams and chocolate from New Zealand. WOOT! As Mayberry put it, “We are creating prize packs to give away to celebrate the launch of The Outback Bachelor Ball Series. There’s a tote bag, a mouse mat with hot men on it, Tim Tams, delicious New Zealand chocolate, and e-copies … Continue reading Giveaway: The Outback Bachelor Ball Survival Pack
I first discovered Sarah Mayberry last year with her self published novel Satisfaction . I enjoyed that so much that I started picking up some of her earlier backlist. When I saw this one was up on the RITA Reader Challenge list, I had already picked up a copy but hadn’t had time to read it yet. I’m delighted to be able to review it for SBTB (and knock another book off of Mt.TBR in the process). … Continue reading Her Kind of Trouble by Sarah Mayberry
Usually when I approach a book for review, I carefully analyze the positive and negative qualities of said book and then determine a grade, often with a great deal of to-ing and fro-ing. In the case of Her Kind of Trouble, I knew from the first that the grade was going to be a nice, solid B. For one thing, I’ve read a lot of Sarah Mayberry, and she’s a go-to comfort read for me. … Continue reading Her Kind of Trouble by Sarah Mayberry
