How Sweet It Is by Dylann Newton is $1.99! I believe this was Newton’s debut and it release relatively recently. It’s an opposites attract romance between a horror writer and a wedding planner. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this one!
One Dance with a Duke by Tessa Dare is $3.99! This is the first book in Dare’s Stud Club trilogy and features a horse breeder hero. Readers say this one is slow to start with, but recommend powering through! There is a marriage of convenience aspect that reviewers really enjoyed.
Content warning: attempted sexual assault of the heroine Heiress in Red Silk is a book that hooked right into my emotions and gave me what I wanted and needed from a story right now. While it was by no means a flawless romance, I adored the heroine, and there was one scene that hit me straight in the heart. This is the second book in the Duke’s Heiress series, but you really don’t need to … Continue reading Heiress in Red Silk by Madeline Hunter→
If you’re new to Hide Your Wallet, this is where we list new releases we’re pretty excited for in the coming month. Moonshadow by Thea Harrison is 99c! This is the first book in the Moonshadow series. This book was mentioned in December 2016’s Hide Your Wallet. I bought this one and tried reading it, but I couldn’t seem to get into it. In fairness, I was getting my hair done at the time. Have you read this one?
How the Dukes Stole Christmas is $1.99! This is a historical holiday romance anthology from some major historical romance writers. Elyse reviewed this one and gave it a C. Her main critique was that the novellas felt uneven in terms of her enjoyment.
Kiss My Cupcake by Helena Hunting is $2.99! This is a standalone contemporary romance with two rival small business owners. I’d say it definitely has an opposites attract element. Have you read this one?
This particular horror story is a love letter to the 1980s and to the power of friendship between women. The ending is very awesome. But also very gross, so be prepared.
Heiress for Hire by Madeline Hunter is 99c at Amazon! This is the first book in a new series for Hunter and Catherine gave it a B-. She felt the mystery element didn’t have the same satisfying resolution as the romance. I liked this one a better (maybe a B or B+).
RECOMMENDED: Death Below Stairs by Jennifer Ashley is $2.99! It was a previous book club pick and Sarah has great things to say about the series:
I love the whole series and it’s on my short (very short) list of books to give to friends who are grieving. Competence porn, women looking after one another, and a wonderful set of characters. And food porn too. High grade. Proceed with caution if hungry or do yourself a big gifty favor and read with snacks.
