Book Boyfriend by Kris Ripper is $2.99! This is a bookish, gay contemporary romance. Ripper’s books have been routinely recommending in the comments and by Tara. However, this one isn’t rated as highly as some of Ripper’s others on Goodreads.

To Love a Scandalous Duke by Liana de la Rosa is 99c at Amazon! It’s available elsewhere, but not at the sale price. This one has a hero out for revenge, which can be a pretty divisive trope on whether readers love it or hate it. It’s also the first in a series.
The Awakening by Nora Roberts is $2.99! This is book one is what I believe to be her latest series and looks to be a blend of contemporary fantasy and romance. I was eh on the Chronicles of One series, but still bought this one in hardcover when it came out. Have you read it?

If you like time travel or gothic romance I think there’s a lot to like here. However, gothic romance fans should note that romance itself is fairly sweet and light and the gothic elements are more embedded in the various ghost and murder subplots.
Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh is $3.99! It’s part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals and is being price-matched. This is the first book in the very popular Guild Hunter series. I remember reading this a long time ago, but didn’t continue with the series because I prefer my series to be one couple per book. I know Singh switches to other couples later on, but I am impatient.

Declan might be commitment-phobic, but he is also 29 and beginning to wonder if he would, in … Continue reading The Love Study by Kris Ripper
I liked this story, but I went in expecting a completely different set of conflicts based on the cover copy. Jaq is a high school teacher and she’d like to find a long-term partner. She’s got a stable life in La Vista, the town where she lives: she goes to mass with her dad (one of the most interesting, poignant, and under-explored parts of the story) and sees him regularly, and she has a strong, loving … Continue reading The Butch and the Beautiful by Kris Ripper
