Radiance by Grace Draven is $1.99! This was a previous book club pick on the site and a fantasy romance. I remember really liking this one, especially the beginning dynamics between the hero and heroine. Have you read it?
It’s Wednesday! Wow, this week is feeling like a slog. Does anyone else feel like that? I think it’s because I just got back from vacation and hopped right back into work. But there are some things I’m looking forward to! Don’t you worry! I’m kickstarting my cheese course. My friend and I are attended a red wine and cheese pairing class on Thursday. RECOMMENDED: Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers is $2.99! Tara read this and gave it an A-. She obviously loved it, but did say this:
First thing first: Honey Girl is not a romance. That said, it has a very strong, swoonworthy romantic element to it.
Love at First by Kate Clayborn is $2.99! Clayborn is an autobuy author for some of the Bitchery. Catherine gave this one a B:
Love at First is a beautiful book and worth the painful beginnings – but if you’re feeling fragile, too, maybe proceed with caution.
When No One Is Watching by Alyssa Cole is $2.99! We were all pretty excited about this one. What did you think about Cole’s thriller debut? I’m very curious if there will be more for her!
RECOMMENDED: Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots is $1.99! Sarah reviewed this one and gave it an A:
In reading and then re-reading this book, I’ve discovered so many more layers, hidden parallels, and very clever dissections of the fictional world of the characters and of the actual reality that this book resides within. Hench is delicious in its anger and ferocity, chilling in its deadpan snark and arctic clarity of analysis and assessment, and meticulous in its nuance. It’s a villainously wonderful good time.
Dragon Unleashed by Grace Draven is $1.99! This is the second in the Fallen Empire series and I gave it a B-. You can read my review here. My general thoughts are Draven’s world building is lovely, but wow there is a lot of sexual violence or threats thereof. The main villain is also a hyper-sexual woman, which gives me pause.
