Books on Sale: The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix Harrow & More

RECOMMENDED: The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow is $3.99! I read this one and gave it a B+:

If you’re in the mood for a lovely, tender fantasy novel about belonging and one that feels more like a long, relaxing bath than a hot, intense shower will all of the fancy pressure and pulsating settings you can imagine, you’ll love this one. It’s a soothing pick for when you hope to take comfort in a book

Books on Sale: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah Maas & More

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas is $2.99! This book and series is insanely popular and has Beauty and the Beast elements. However, some felt it didn’t live up to the hype or it had too much sexxxytimes for a YA-positioned book and feels more New Adult. I believe most of the books in the series are part of today’s KDD in anticipation of Maas’ new release.

My Last Duchess by Eloisa James

My Last Duchess

My Last Duchess is pure, frothy, Georgian-era historical escapism. Reading it felt like being wrapped up in a warm blanket while watching a picturesque snowfall outside. I can’t say it was particularly substantial or thought-provoking, but for the most part, it was a pleasure. This book is a prequel to Eloisa James’ ongoing Wildes of Lindow Castle series about the numerous Wilde offspring and their exploits. My Last Duchess tells the tale of how the … Continue reading My Last Duchess by Eloisa James

Books on Sale: The Night Mark by Tiffany Reisz & More

The Night Mark by Tiffany Reisz is $3.49! This is a time travel/time slippage book with some romantic elements. However, be warned that this book deals a lot with grief, if you are particularly sensitive to that. Despite this book being different from Reisz’ Original Sinners series, readers say that the writing is still as compelling.

Books on Sale: Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin & More

RECOMMENDED: Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin is $2.99! Carrie, who will read any and all Pride and Prejudice retellings, gave this one a B+:

Now THIS is how it’s done! Ayesha At Last is a lovely loose retelling of Pride and Prejudice, with a perfect mix of humor, heartbreak, misunderstandings, and humor. It’s a contemporary set in Canada and the characters are described with empathy and with plenty of surprises.

Say Yes to the Duke by Eloisa James

Say Yes to the Duke

I’ve been having a lot of trouble finishing books recently. My mind is distracted, and while I can concentrate well enough on the things I need to do for work or around the house, my ability to fall into a book and lose myself there seems to have evaporated. So when I found myself carrying my Kindle from room to room as I went about my business, reading with one eye on the screen while … Continue reading Say Yes to the Duke by Eloisa James
