This HaBO request is from Michelle, who is looking for a romance her mother told her about: I am completely new to the site and HaBO, so please bear with me. However, I would appreciate help finding a romance novel my mother read when she was younger and told me about today. The book was about a woman whose lifelong dream was to travel the world as an artist, but then she meets and falls … Continue reading HaBO: He Builds Her an Art Studio→
Cinder by Marissa Meyer is $2.99! This is the first book in the Lunar Chronicles series. Set in New Beijing, a fictional world of the future, Cinder is influenced by several fairy tales, so if you’re a sucker for retellings, you may want to give this is a try. I love the cover redesigns and bought them all when they came out.
This HaBO comes from Jen, who is looking for a historical romance: I’m looking for a historical/Regency romance. I read it within the last 2-3 years. I can’t remember if I finished the whole book and what I do remember is kind of vague. The heroine is possibly a governess, other employee, or guest in the hero’s home. There’s obviously some sexual tension but heroine holds him at bay. The hero tells her that if … Continue reading HaBO: Snooping Governess→

Overall, I do not have much more to say about this book except that it is wonderful. It made me feel many feelings and think many thoughts about how people relate to each other. If I could get you all copies, Oprah-style, I would.

We’re back with another caption contest. This cover was sent in by Jessica, who had this to say: I saw this cover and had to share. I can’t get over the position of the man’s crotch to the wolf’s howling mouth. Please tell me I’m not the only one who thought this looked like imminent fellatio. These titles always remind me of Mad Libs or if you did a title randomizer. What other random titles … Continue reading Caption That Cover: Title Mad Libs→
