  • Luck of the Draw

Luck of the Draw by Kate Clayborn

Luck of the Draw by Kate Clayborn is $1.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! If you grabbed the previous book in the series when it was on sale, now you can grab the next one! This one has enemies entering into a fake relationship, which is all sorts of my catnip. Can I read this one out of order?

Buying a lotto ticket with her two best friends didn’t change Zoe’s life. Only following her heart would do that…

Sure, winning the lottery allows Zoe Ferris to quit her job as a cutthroat corporate attorney, but no amount of cash will clear her conscience about the way her firm treated the O’Leary family in a wrongful death case. So she sets out to make things right, only to find gruff, grieving Aiden O’Leary doesn’t need—or want—her apology. He does, however, need something else from her. Something Zoe is more than willing to give, if only to ease the pain in her heart, a sorrow she sees mirrored in his eyes…

Aiden doesn’t know what possesses him to ask his family’s enemy to be his fake fiancée. But he needs a bride if he hopes to be the winning bid on the campground he wants to purchase as part of his beloved brother’s legacy. Skilled in the art of deception, the cool beauty certainly fits the bill. Only Aiden didn’t expect all the humor and heart Zoe brings to their partnership—or the desire that runs deep between them. Now he’s struggling with his own dark truth—that he’s falling for the very woman he vowed never to forgive.

  • Royally Matched

    Royally Matched by Emma Chase

Royally Matched by Emma Chase is 99c! This is the second book in her Royally Screwed series and features a royal on a reality show. The heroine is mousy and loves reading, if that’s your catnip. You don’t have to read them in order, but yes, they are as goofy and over the top as they seem.

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

    He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to force her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora goes on a much-needed safari holiday—and when the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

    Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit… and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

To Taste Temptation by Elizabeth Hoyt is $1.99! This is book one in the Legend of the Four Soldiers series and was mentioned in a Rec League on Historical Romance House Parties. Readers warn that the beginning is a little slow, but if you’re looking to fully collect all of Hoyt’s romances, 99c is a good price!

  • A Lady’s Guide to Etiquette and Murder

A Lady’s Guide to Etiquette and Murder by Dianne Freeman

A Lady’s Guide to Etiquette and Murder by Dianne Freeman is $2.99 and another KDD! This is book in the A Countess of Harleigh Mystery series. If you’ve exhausted all of your historical mystery with romantic subplot options, try this one. It was also mentioned in the comments of The Rec League: Mysteries with Romance Crossover Appeal.

In this exciting historical mystery debut set in Victorian England, a wealthy young widow encounters the pleasures—and scandalous pitfalls—of a London social season . . .

Frances Wynn, the American-born Countess of Harleigh, enjoys more freedom as a widow than she did as a wife. After an obligatory year spent mourning her philandering husband, Reggie, she puts aside her drab black gowns, leaving the countryside and her money-grubbing in-laws behind. With her young daughter in tow, Frances rents a home in Belgravia and prepares to welcome her sister, Lily, arriving from New York—for her first London season.

No sooner has Frances begun her new life than the ghosts of her old one make an unwelcome appearance. The Metropolitan police receive an anonymous letter implicating Frances in her husband’s death. Frances assures Inspector Delaney of her innocence, but she’s also keen to keep him from learning the scandalous circumstances of Reggie’s demise. As fate would have it, her dashing new neighbor, George Hazelton, is one of only two other people aware of the full story.

While busy with social engagements on Lily’s behalf, and worrying if Reggie really was murdered, Frances learns of mysterious burglaries plaguing London’s elite. The investigation brings death to her doorstep, and Frances rallies her wits, a circle of gossips, and the ever-chivalrous Mr. Hazelton to uncover the truth. A killer is in their midst, perhaps even among her sister’s suitors. And Frances must unmask the villain before Lily’s season—and their lives—come to a most unseemly end . . .

  1. Noseinabook says:

Stephanie Burgis’ delightful novella Snowspelled is currently on sale. It blends Regency, romance, and magic. I enjoyed it so much that I wish it was a full-length book and not over so soon! Luckily it’s only the first in a series.

  2. LJO says:

A Lady’s Guide won my TBR roulette this week…Read it. Loved it. Binged the rest of the series.

  3. FashionablyEvil says:

Wait, her last name is actually “tight bottom.” Good heavens.

Also, another vote for SNOWSPELLED with precisely the same caveats as @Noseinabook.
