  • Three Little Words

Three Little Words by Jenny Holiday

Three Little Words by Jenny Holiday is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and it’s being price-matched. This is a contemporary road trip romance. Hello, catnip! Readers also say they liked the banter and differences between the Canadian heroine and Southern hero. However, others wished they felt more of a connection to the main characters.

In this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy, USA Today bestselling author Jenny Holiday proves that opposites don’t just attract, they ignite.

Gia Gallo is officially in bridesmaid hell. Stranded in New York with her best friend’s wedding dress, Gia has six days to make it to Florida in time for the ceremony. And oh-so-charming best man Bennett Buchanan has taken the last available rental car. Looks like she’s in for one long road trip with the sexiest – and most irritating – Southern gentleman she’s ever met…

Bennett’s pretty sure that if there was ever a woman to break his “no flings” rule, Gia would be it. Sure, she’s stubborn. She’s also funny, smart, and the attraction between them is getting hotter with every state line they cross. While Bennett doesn’t do casual, Gia doesn’t do “relationships.” But if they break the rules, this unlikely pair might discover that their impromptu road trip could turn out to be the best ride of their lives.

  • A Curse So Dark and Lonely

A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

RECOMMENDED: A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer is $3.99! This one was recommended to Carrie and she really enjoyed it, giving the book an A-:

I enjoyed the way this book both used and subverted Beauty and the Beast tropes. There’s a good blend of angst and humor and worldbuilding.

In a lush, contemporary fantasy retelling of Beauty and the Beast, Brigid Kemmerer gives readers another compulsively readable romance perfect for fans of Marissa Meyer.

Fall in love, break the curse.

It once seemed so easy to Prince Rhen, the heir to Emberfall. Cursed by a powerful enchantress to repeat the autumn of his eighteenth year over and over, he knew he could be saved if a girl fell for him. But that was before he learned that at the end of each autumn, he would turn into a vicious beast hell-bent on destruction. That was before he destroyed his castle, his family, and every last shred of hope.

Nothing has ever been easy for Harper. With her father long gone, her mother dying, and her brother barely holding their family together while constantly underestimating her because of her cerebral palsy, she learned to be tough enough to survive. But when she tries to save someone else on the streets of Washington, DC, she’s instead somehow sucked into Rhen’s cursed world.

Break the curse, save the kingdom.

A prince? A monster? A curse? Harper doesn’t know where she is or what to believe. But as she spends time with Rhen in this enchanted land, she begins to understand what’s at stake. And as Rhen realizes Harper is not just another girl to charm, his hope comes flooding back. But powerful forces are standing against Emberfall . . . and it will take more than a broken curse to save Harper, Rhen, and his people from utter ruin.

  • Diablo Lake: Protected

Diablo Lake: Protected by Lauren Dane

RECOMMENDED: Diablo Lake: Protected by Lauren Dane is $1.99! Sarah read this one and gave it a B+, though she definitely suggest reading the first book, Moonstruck, before this one:

I don’t think I can communicate how much I found this story inspiring and comforting, not without spoiling some major plot points and ruining the joy of discovering the intricate connections between the characters.

New York Times bestselling author Lauren Dane welcomes you back to Diablo Lake, Tennessee: a town founded by witches, governed by werewolves and full of secrets

Tensions are building in Diablo Lake as the two main rival Packs vie for control, and the town is divided along lines of Pack loyalty. Aimee Benton and Mac Pembry are on opposite sides and he seems to find excuses to spar with her daily. He’s infuriating—not to mention charming, gorgeous and oh-so-lickable.

Mac can’t resist pushing Aimee’s buttons. She’s always been incredibly sexy, and the wolf in him craves a female with fire in her belly. When a heated argument ends with a sizzling kiss and Mac gets a taste of her, he craves more—and she can’t seem to get enough of him, either. The forbidden nature of their attraction stokes their desires until they’re secretly hooking up whenever they can.

But then Mac’s clan goes too far, and Aimee shuts him out. She’s hurt and angry—but that’s nothing compared to the rage Mac is feeling toward his own Pack. A fight is brewing that will plunge the whole town into chaos, and someone will have to cross Pack lines to keep the town’s fragile peace from breaking apart for good.

  • Six Impossible Things

Six Impossible Things by Elizabeth Boyle

Six Impossible Things by Elizabeth Boyle is $2.99! This is the sixth book in the Rhymes with Love historical romance series. Redheadedgirl wrote a Lightning Review and gave this one a B:

What I liked best about Six Impossible Things was Rosalie and her determination that she would use her talents to help King and Country, whether King and Country liked it or not. She’s a patriot in the purest sense, and she’s got a brilliant mind that’s working two steps ahead of everyone else.

In the sixth novel of the enchanting Rhymes With Love series from New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Boyle, a nobleman falls in love with a beautiful spy he must protect…

Lord Rimswell is a man of honor and absolutes. If he says something is impossible, it is. Yet his life of right and wrong is turned upside down when he finds himself in a compromising situation with the most unyielding, yet maddeningly beautiful, woman in London. If only he had not given in to the irresistible temptation to kiss her. Now he must marry her.

Miss Roselie Stratton is the very definition of impossible—headstrong, outspoken, and carrying a reticule of secrets that could ruin more than her reputation. Kissing Brody is hardly the most ruinous thing Roselie has ever done as a secret agent for the Home Office…nor will she let a marriage of convenience stop her from continuing her work. Little does Roselie realize that she has underestimated Brody’s resolve to keep her safe—for he has hopelessly fallen in love with her and is determined to do the impossible by stealing her heart in return.

  1. Emily B says:

The whole Jennifer Holiday series is great – this one can stand alone, but I definitely recommend reading the series in order because the best part about all of them is the relationships between the group of friends, and you’ll appreciate this so much more if you read all of them and know what they’ve been through.

  2. Emily B says:

*Edit Jenny Holiday, not Jennifer (I may or may not have Dreamgirls on the brain).

  3. Lisa F says:

Jenny Holiday is the best, I love her heroes and heroines so much. Her new one, Mermaid Inn, comes out next month and it’s fabulous!

  4. Carla says:

The Elizabeth Boyle’s book cover is almost the exact duplicate of Grace Burrowes’ Duke’s Disaster.

  5. Carole says:

Although I enjoyed the first book in the series, I did not enjoy Three Little words by Jenny Holiday. I found both characters annoying at times and disliked some of the ‘Canadian’ tropes. Mostly concerned there should be MAJOR RED FLAG for eating disorder and body dysmorphia/weight and appearance issues that might affect some readers.

  6. Michelle says:

    @ Carole

Can I ask what kind of Canadian tropes? Just curious because I’m Canadian and sometimes it’s funny to see how Americans (and others) see us.

  7. Leigh Kramer says:

Carole and Michelle, Jenny Holiday lives in Ontario, FYI.

  8. Laura George says:

    Lord Rimswell? Really?

  9. Randall M says:

@Laura George: I was going to say the same thing.
