Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

HaBO: Heroine Turns House Purple with Magic

You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO comes from Maya and it sounds like she’s trying to find a paranormal or fantasy historical:

It’s been several years since I read this book, and what I remember most vividly is that the heroine has magical abilities.

At the beginning of the novel she turns her house purple, and this gets her into trouble with the magical authority where she lives (somewhere in 19th century England I believe). The hero’s name is Fox, and the heroine’s name might be Amelia or something close to it. Near the end of the novel they have sex and for some reason this is interspersed with descriptions of a magical stag.

This sounds very interesting!

I think you’re looking for Bewitched by Sandra Schwab!

Heck, I turned my house purple and no magic at all was required. 😉

I was intrigued enough that I bought it on Amazon….

@Ken Houghton “I will never hear “Expecto Patronum” the same way again…” Okay, that made me snort/laugh. And now its problematic that my husband and I have been watching all the Harry Potter movies in order since we discovered they were streaming for free for a few months on our cable service – cause that’s stuck in my head now too.

Received an email from Maya, the requester, that it is indeed Bewitched by Sandra Schwab!
