  • More or Less a Marchioness

More or Less a Marchioness by Anna Bradley

More or Less a Marchioness by Anna Bradley is $2.99! This is the first book in the Somerset Sisters series and came out  just last month. Readers warn that it does take a while for the hero and heroine to finally interact, but once they do, it’s a pretty lovely romance.

The Somerset sisters, three beautiful, headstrong debutantes in Regency London, are discovering that a bit of scandal is a delightful thing…

For the sake of propriety, and her younger sisters’ reputations, Iris Somerset has kept her rebellious streak locked away. But though she receives a proposal from Phineas Knight, Lord of Huntington, Iris can’t marry a man she knows isn’t truly enamored with her. In fact, Iris no longer wants to be chosen—she wants to choose. Under the clandestine tutelage of “wicked widow” Lady Annabel Tallant, she’ll learn how to steer her own marriage prospects—and discover her secret appetites.

What kind of debutante refuses a marquess? Finn is surprised, a little chastened—and thoroughly intrigued. This new, independent version of Iris is far more alluring than the polished socialite she used to be. Finn believed he needed a safe, quiet wife to curb his wilder impulses. But the more Iris surprises him, the more impossible it becomes to resist their deepest desires.

  • Arm Candy

    Arm Candy by Jessica Lemmon

Arm Candy by Jessica Lemmon is $1.99! This is the second book in the Real Love series and I just love the covers in this series. They’re so bright and fun. Some readers felt there was some unnecessary conflict toward the the end, but others love Lemmon’s writing style. I do, too.

Last call! At the end of the night, a clean-cut hunk and a rebellious bartender act on their unlikely chemistry in this frisky standalone novel from the author of Eye Candy.

Davis: I’ve had my eye on Grace Buchanan for a while now. Unlike the bubbly blondes I usually date, the feisty, flame-haired bartender both intrigues and bewilders me. Something about Grace—the tattoos? the nose ring?—makes every part of me sit up and beg. There’s only one problem: She hates me. Trading insults and one-liners has become our M.O. But when Grace bets me that I can’t get a date with a non-blonde if my life depends on it, I’m determined to prove her wrong by landing the ultimate non-blonde: her.

Grace: I’m used to regulars hitting on me, and I’ve turned them all down, except for one: Davis Price. I like giving him a hard time, and he’s kind of cute in his suit and tie—if you’re into that kind of thing. Anyway, I don’t care how many blondes he takes home . . . until one of them sidles up to him in my bar. Nuh-uh. But after my little bet with Davis backfires, our first date lands us in the sack. So does the second. And the third. Neither of us wants more than the best sex of our lives. The trouble is, it’s not a question of what I want. It’s what I need. And what I need is Davis.

  • The Cosy Teashop in the Castle

The Cosy Teashop in the Castle by Caroline Roberts

The Cosy Teashop in the Castle by Caroline Roberts is 99c! This book sounds super cute and is described as a romantic comedy. Some readers mentioned that had difficulties connecting with the characters, while others loved how Roberts created a quaint sense of place. It has a 3.7-star rating on Goodreads.

When Ellie Hall lands her dream job running the little teashop in the beautiful but crumbling Claverham Castle, it’s the perfect escape from her humdrum job in the city. Life is definitely on the rise as Ellie replaces spreadsheets for scones, and continues her Nanna’s brilliant baking legacy.

When Lord Henry, the stick-in-the-mud owner, threatens to burst her baking bubble with his old-fashioned ways, Ellie wonders if she might have bitten off more than she can chew. But cupcake by cupcake she wins the locals over, including teashop stalwart, Doris, and Ellie’s showstopping bakes look set to go down in castle history!

Now all that’s missing in Ellie’s life is a slice of romance – can Joe, the brooding estate manager, be the one to put the cherry on the top of Ellie’s dream?

  1. Heather S says:

“The Winning Edge” by Keira Andrews is 99 cents in the US and UK for another day or so. It’s an m/m ice skating rivals-to-lovers story.

  2. Kareni says:

    Thank you, Heather S!

  3. Aroha says:

Love the covers of the last 3, especially the fact that there are no half naked dukes on any of them. Also, Once Upon A Kiss looks interesting. It reminds me of Red As Blood by Tanith Lee (only her stories) where she reimagines classic fairy stories as horror stories. I love it and am trying to get my daughter-in-law into her work. (It’s 1980’s? I think).
