The Last Tale of the Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi is $1.99! I believe this was Chokshi’s full-length adult debut. It’s a Gothic fantasy and it’s had a cover redesign since it’s release. I think I prefer the the original.
The Lady Gets Lucky by Joanna Shupe is $1.99! This was mentioned in a previous Hide Your Wallet and is the second book in the Fifth Avenue Rebels. For the most part, I love Shupe’s pairings, but a lot of the secondary characters, usually parents, are just awful people and can make for a frustrating read.

The Hidden Moon by Jeannie Lin is 99c! This is part of the Lotus Palace Mystery series. I think these can be read on their own rather than in order, but definitely let me know in the comments if that’s not the case.
The Emma Project by Sonali Dev is $3.99! This is the last in Dev’s Austen-inspired Rajes series and is an Emma retelling. Sonali was also just on the podcast and as always, is such a blast to talk to.
RECOMMENDED: Playing House by Ruby Lang is $2.99! The entire series is price as $2.99, so I’m unsure if this is actually a sale or normal price. Aarya gave it a B:
It’s a must-read for the summer if you’re looking for an adorable, empathetic, and joyful romance.
I encourage you to pick up Playing House to transport you into another world for a few hours. It might be the escape you desperately need; it certainly was for me.

If you like time travel or gothic romance I think there’s a lot to like here. However, gothic romance fans should note that romance itself is fairly sweet and light and the gothic elements are more embedded in the various ghost and murder subplots.
More or Less a Marchioness by Anna Bradley is 99c! This is the first book in the Somerset Sisters series and came out just last month. Readers warn that it does take a while for the hero and heroine to finally interact, but once they do, it’s a pretty lovely romance.
I picked this ARC up for the title, which delighted me, and for the setting, which centres around a charity school for Wayward Girls in Georgian England that is in fact a secret training ground for young women on a mission to bring justice to corrupt aristocrats. The Virgin who Ruined Lord Gray straddles the line between traditional historical romance and romantic suspense, and I found it an enjoyable, but flawed read.
