Seriously, if you love science and experiments and science nerdery, you’ll probably really like this book. Much of the story is about Kaya’s journey from accepting herself to appreciating herself, and her growth from keeping a massive distance between her thoughts and her emotions to learning how to relate them to one another, and to take the risks involved in engaging with other people.
For the Sake of a Scottish Rake by Anna Bradley is $1.99! This is a historical romance that released in February. It also seems full of catnip with a friends to lovers fake relationship. It sounds really fun, but I know myself and friends to lovers isn’t my bag.
The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey is $1.99! It’s a Kindle Daily Deal today, and the deals feature some romances as well. This is a mystery set in 1920s Bombay. Carrie read this one and gave it a B:
It’s not a romance. Romance does not go well for the main characters. However, it’s a very good female-centered historical mystery.
More or Less a Temptress by Anna Bradley is 99c! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched at a few other vendors. There are three pages of deals today and the second book of this series (The Somerset Sisters) is also on sale. Readers love Bradley’s writing style and voice, but others had trouble with the heroine.
Puddin’ by Julie Murphy is $1.99! Not sure if this is a Kindle Daily Deal. I didn’t see it on the list today, but I may have missed it. This is a companion novel to Dumplin’ though it’s not necessary to read that one to enjoy this one. Just be warned that the ending to Dumplin’ might get spoiled. I loved Dumplin’ and am excited to read this one. Murphy has a great way of writing really likable characters.
More or Less a Marchioness by Anna Bradley is $2.99! This is the first book in the Somerset Sisters series and came out just last month. Readers warn that it does take a while for the hero and heroine to finally interact, but once they do, it’s a pretty lovely romance.

Touch of Red by Laura Griffin is $1.99! This is a romantic suspense novel and Elyse gave it a B grade:
If you like a solid mystery/thriller with some hot sex scenes and a romance subplot, then this book should work well for you. If you need your romantic suspense romance-driven, then it might not. I was frustrated with how the element of Brooke’s stalker was handled, but engrossed enough in the larger mystery that it didn’t pull me too far out of the book.
