It might too early for the holidays, but there’s never an inconvenient time for a giveaway!

We, along with the great team at Avon, have ten (10) paper copies of Chasing Christmas Eve by Jill Shalvis to giveaway to U.S. and Canadian residents. It’s the fourth book in the Heartbreaker Bay series and can be read on its own – so no worries that you have to chase down books one through three.

Here’s the book description:

Meet cute…

Run for the hills—temporarily. That’s Colbie Albright’s plan when she flees New York for San Francisco. Wrangling her crazy family by day and writing a bestselling YA fantasy series by night has taken its toll. In short, Colbie’s so over it that she’s under it. She’s also under the waters of a historic San Francisco fountain within an hour of arrival. Fortunately, the guy who fishes Colbie out has her looking forward to Christmas among strangers. But she’s pretty sure Spencer Baldwin won’t be a stranger for long.

Make merry…

Spence’s commitment to hiding from the Ghosts of Relationships Past means he doesn’t have to worry about the powerful—okay, crazy hot chemistry—he’s got with Colbie. Just because she can laugh at anything, especially herself… just because she’s gorgeous and a great listener just because she gets Spence immediately doesn’t mean he won’t be able to let Colbie go. Does it?

and hope for a miracle.

Now the clock’s ticking for Colbie and Spence: Two weeks to cut loose. Two weeks to fall hard. Two weeks to figure out how to make this Christmas last a lifetime.

If you’re looking to get a feel for the main characters, he’s a quote from the hero, Spence:

“I don’t want to adult today,” he said, nuzzling in closer. “I don’t even want to human today. Today I want to dog. I want to lie on the floor in the sun. Just pet me and bring me snacks.”

And a quote from the heroine, Colbie:

Colbie shook her head. “No, you don’t understand. I’m leaving tomorrow morning. But I don’t feel right going until I know he’ll be okay, that he’ll still celebrate Christmas.”

Elle just looked at her. “What about Cinder?”

“She’s coming with me.”

“You’re taking a stray cat but leaving behind your man?”

Colbie’s heart twisted. Her man . . . “He doesn’t fit into the carrier I bought.”

What do you think? I’m definitely relating to Spence right now. Who’s all for not adulting today?

If you’re ready to enter, tell us where you’d love to spend the holidays! It could be real or imaginary, with family or on an exotic vacation alone.

A holiday with all my family in the mountains in a lodge with lots of fireplaces. Cosy and close to skiing. Christmas stories are my catnip!

  3. Marissa Backlin says:

I would love to celebrate the holidays in Disney world again! We went a few years ago and spent Christmas in Epcot and they did a decent job of representing all of the holidays in every country. And it was warm but still felt like Christmas!

  4. Gigi says:

I’d love to spend the holidays in a big city like New York, Paris or London.

  5. Cat C says:

I live in the southeast US now, but I miss celebrating with my family further north. It’s the one time when you can feel like all of the cold and snow pays off 🙂

  6. Francesca says:

I’ve always wanted to do the sophisticated, big city Christmas. So, of course, this year, I’ve been invited to a country inn up north.

  7. Karen H says:

A rural Christmas away from crowds sounds pretty good.

A holiday where my entire extended family is together. Half of them are in Pennsylvania and the other half are in Texas. I would love for us to all be together like we used to back when I was a kid.

  11. PamG says:

If I could go anywhere I wanted? It would New Zealand, but that would be any time, any occasion. I do want to say that St. Augustine FL is lovely at the holidays and has a pretty great brew pub too!

  12. M L says:

I would like to spend the holidays in Monterey, CA by the sea and maybe see some frolicking otters.

  13. Madtowngal says:

I love my house and how I decorate it for Christmas of just me and the dog. Best thing would be for a nice 2 inches of snow to fall beginning the night before so I can snuggle up even more.

  14. Gina Basso says:

Christmas in the mountains with lots of snow, that I can just watch out the window.

  15. Lori says:

I would love to spend Christmas somewhere there is snow and have one of those ideal Christmases snuggled in front of a fire. 🙂

  16. Alex says:

Oh I really want to go somewhere warm for the holidays! Christmas on the beach is the best.

  17. Meg says:

I want to spend the holidays in England with my in-laws – but magically teleport the cats and my family along with me. I loved visiting the holiday markets when visiting Liverpool in December.

  18. Colleen P. says:

I’d love to spend Christmas in New York just once. It would be cool to experience a big-city holiday.

  22. cheryl c. says:

At home with my family is the best place for me!

  23. Pooja says:

I’m dying to go to Edinburgh, Scotland. It’s just so beautiful, plus both of my childhood idols, Enid Blyton and J.K. Rowling are from there! I must go to pay my respects, and hopefully be inspired to write my very own book! 🙂

  24. Jami Birnbaum says:

No matter where I was, I always want to spend the holidays with my sister and her kids.

  25. Sylvia says:

I just want to stay at home with my family, a pile of books, and maybe some board games. Hot chocolate would be nice too.

  26. Nadine says:

I’d like to spend the holidays on a warm beach somewhere, with my family AND my dogs. This is completely imaginary, because it would involve no travel time, presents would magically arrive, and my kids would not complain about missing snow. Nights would get just cool enough to allow me to drink hot cocoa comfortably, while still being barefoot on the beach.

  27. Karen says:

I would love to spend the holidays somewhere I could hang out with my family and also do wintry things. Oh, and also see mountains and cool sunrises/sunsets. A resort in the Rockies, maybe?

  28. TrishJ says:

I’m thinking this year would be a great time for a rustic cabin somewhere in the mountains. This has been a year of family drama and I am ready for some alone time. But I’m sure as the Christmas season nears I’ll be ready for the whole family dynamics again.

  29. denise says:

I’d love to be snowed in at a mountain cabin with my husband–with power and amenities.

  30. Fatima par says:

I want myself and my kids to experience a white Christmas. Having the chimeny on while opening presents, laughing, drinking coffee, and looking outside while it snows would be a wonderful experience. I need to get out of California to make it happen.

  31. Pam Lowery says:

I would love to spend Christmas in the mountains of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. My other choice would be Scotland

I’d love to have a holiday rental with a fireplace that was big enough to bring together my cousins to have a holiday together again, with a big family dinner.

  34. Heather says:

I would love to spend Christmas with my family then get a little time to myself somewhere quiet with stacks of books… a cabin somewhere without WiFi.

  35. Jenica says:

I’m just hoping I get to spend the holidays at home with my whole family. My dad may get sent out to help with disaster relief and my sister and I both live far from home so we’ll see if we all manage to get together!

I’d love to have Christmas with my 8 year old step daughter. She’s with me in the summer but the cross country trip is beyond our budgets most year for the holidays.

  37. Trudy Dowling says:

I would love to go and spend the holiday with my family in England. We moved to the U.S. when I was five.

  38. Lorraine says:

I’d love to spend Christmas on a sunny warm island, far away from the need to decorate, bake, or try to find the “right” gift for everyone…

  39. E.C. says:

I would love to spend the holidays with my family in a remote small mountain town or go back in time and spend the holidays with my family before my grandfather passed away.

  40. Issa says:

A holiday with all the family at my mother’s would be ideal. We all are spread out so much and traveling during the winter is the worst. The tv would have to be modified to block football though : )
