I’m asking for a male friend of mine who says it’s the only Romance novel he’s ever read, but that it was amazing. He lost the book half way through and NEEDS to find it (and find out what happened).
He thinks it’s was called An Affair with an Agent. Main characters name was Beth. Beginning of the book, Beth got thrown in a trunk by some crazy dude. She’s an agent too. A scene happens towards the middle of the book where some chemical agent is released at a school in the gym showers. She is matched with a hard missed agent too find the culprit. The culprit calls Beth on her hotel phone.
Sarah did some preliminary Googling and nothing matched that exact title, FYI!
Could it be “Set Up with the Agent” by Lori L. Harris. Heroine agent named Beth, mentions biological weapon.
Other one that came up with just the heroine name “All the Dead Girls” by Rita Herron (which actually looks really good, might have to go read it)
Yep, I’m fairly certain it’s Set Up with the Agent. Everything described sounds very familiar.

Wanted to come and thank you guys for finding this book (Set up With the Agent by Lori L. Harris) for me. Unfortunately the friend is unreachable but it had since become my own little obsession and I was immensely excited to find it. It also intrigued me while I was scanning the sample for the relevant phrases to make sure it was the right one. So much so that I read it even after finding out it was the one. I can say that the I won’t be suggesting the friend read it because apparently it goes to crap pretty much right after the part where he stopped reading… I would also like to suggest this as a review! I love the F reviews the most on here… Thanks!
Also just to point out the photoshopping on the cover deserves an F too
@Larren OMG! I honestly didn’t even look at it! It is awful! That face looks pasted on, as does the straps of his holster. Plus what’s wrong with him?? Why does he have a gun and holster with no shirt! The body position says he’s constipated or something! Interrupted in the bathroom? Lol… It’s a mess either way…
