  • Seven Nights to Surrender

Seven Nights to Surrender by Jeanette Grey

RECOMMENDEDSeven Nights to Surrender by Jeanette Grey is $2.99! Elyse read this book and gave it a B, but she warns of a cliffhanger:

Oh how I enjoyed Seven Nights to Surrender by Jeanette Grey. It’s a lovely travel romance with incredibly hot, empowering sex scenes. It plays on some of the New Adult tropes I typically hate–Hero With Tragic Past Who Cannot Love, for example–but it does them well.

By day, he’ll show her a side of Paris not found in any guidebook. By night, he’ll introduce her to a passion beyond her wildest dreams. In this sensuous story of indulgence and desire, Jeanette Grey delivers one of the most romantic reads of the year and proves why she is fast becoming a must-read star.

    SEVEN NIGHTS TO SURRENDER

Kate arrives in Paris hoping to find inspiration. Instead she finds Rylan. In a swirl of stolen kisses and hot, tangled sheets, Kate is quickly swept away by the sexy stranger, longing to surrender to his expert touch. With Rylan, nothing is forbidden-except the truth.

An American ex-pat worth millions, Rylan never flaunts his fortune. Rather, he guards his identity from everyone, especially women. No strings, no commitments, no complications. But the second his lips taste Kate’s soft, sweet skin, everything changes. For the first time, Rylan has found someone to share his every want and need. Yet he knows that secrets stand between them. To keep her, he’ll need to confess the truth before it’s too late . . . even if doing so could mean losing Kate forever.

  • The Fixer

    The Fixer by HelenKay Dimon

The Fixer by HelenKay Dimon is $1.99! This book was featured on December 2016’s Hide Your Wallet and I was super pumped about it. As of today, it has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads, and many readers loved the dynamic between the hero and heroine. However, some found the book a bit repetitive, which slowed down the pacing.

He’s known only as Wren. A wealthy, dangerously secretive man, he specializes in making problems disappear. A professional fixer, Wren hides a dark past, but his privacy is shattered when Emery Finn seeks him out—and what she wants from him is very personal.

Some people disappear against their will. Emery’s job is to find them and bring closure. Wren is the only person who can help solve Emery’s own personal mystery: the long-ago disappearance of her cousin. Just tracking down the sexy, brooding Wren is difficult enough. Resisting her body’s response to him will prove completely impossible.

Anonymity is essential to Wren’s success, yet drawn by Emery’s loyalty and sensuality, he’s pulled out of the shadows. But her digging is getting noticed by the wrong people. And as the clues start to point to someone terrifyingly close, Wren will have to put his haunted past aside to protect the woman he loves.

  • Truly

    Truly by Ruthie Knox

READER RECOMMENDEDTruly by Ruthie Knox is 99c! This is a contemporary romance and a former RITA finalist. Reader Pam G. submitted a great guest review for Truly:

Over the years, the Bitchery has offered up suggestions for authors and books that should be offered to readers with a bias against romance. As far as I’m concerned, Truly proves yet again that a romance novel can be the equal of the finest writing out there. Plotting, style, characterization, complexity, profundity—Knox has it all. The only formula here is quality.

May Fredericks hates New York. Which is fair enough, since New York seems to hate her back. After relocating to Manhattan from the Midwest to be with her long-distance boyfriend, NFL quarterback Thor Einarsson, May receives the world’s worst marriage proposal, stabs the jerk with a shrimp fork, and storms off alone—only to get mugged. Now she’s got no phone, no cash, and no friends. How’s a nice girl supposed to get back to safe, sensible Wisconsin?

Frankly, Ben Hausman couldn’t care less. Sure, it’s not every day he meets a genuine, down-to-earth woman like May—especially in a dive in the Village—but he’s recovering from an ugly divorce that cost him his restaurant. He wants to be left alone to start over and become a better man. Then again, playing the white knight to May’s sexy damsel in distress would be an excellent place to start—if only he can give her one very good reason to love New York.

  • His to Protect

His to Protect by Stacey Lynn

His to Protect by Stacey Lynn is 99c! This contemporary romance features a restauranteur hero and a heroine, who has undergone some serious trauma from an abusive relationship. Trigger warning for that. Readers loved how protective and caring the hero was, but others didn’t like the feeling of insta-love between the main characters. Have you read this one?

A warm home for broken hearts, the Fireside Grill serves up hope and healing in equal measure. Stacey Lynn’s sensual, deeply emotional series heats up as a jaded restaurateur falls hard for a woman who’s hiding from a damaged past.

Declan James lost his last ounce of trust the day his wife walked out the door, leaving him to save the restaurant they built together. Throwing himself into his work, Declan swears off women—or at least, women who expect him to stick around in the morning. But when he discovers a skittish beauty scrounging through the Fireside’s trash to feed her dog, Declan offers her a job and a place to rest her head. There’s just something about her that awakens his protective side. And soon, not even that mangy mutt can stop Declan from caring for her.

After one too many trips to the ER, Trina Wilson finally gathered the courage to leave her husband, taking only her car and hyperactive boxer. Unfortunately, life on the run proves harder than she anticipated—until Declan takes a leap of faith on her. But even as Trina starts to see beyond his gruff exterior, she can’t relax, even for a moment. Not with her husband still tracking her down. What Trina doesn’t know is that in Declan, she has a powerful ally—and, if she would only follow her heart, a devoted lover.

Wilder by Rebecca Yarros is .99 on amazon. I have heard a lot of good things about it so I one clicked.

  2. Ren Benton says:

Amazon tells me I bought Truly in 2014. The sequel (Madly) has been on my wish list for about that long and is FINALLY supposed to be coming out in March.

  3. Gigi says:

Attraction by Penny Reid is free on Amazon. Looks like it’s the first in a series though. But nerdy heroine and rich, jerky hero who will hopefully be knocked on his ass. All the catnip!

  4. Dora says:

I thought Seven Nights was just okay. It was a little too heavy on the melodrama and overly flowery language for me.

  5. Jen says:

Two of my favorite books on sale! I love Truly. The characters are complicated and interesting, and the conflicts are realistic. I just love it. And then a book that couldn’t be more different–I love The Fixer too. The hero is so alpha but tempered with an awareness that that’s not really a trait to be proud of all the time. Good stuff.

  6. Laura says:

So, sometimes before I decide to check out a book, I look up quotes from it online to get the flavor.. I’m not sure how I feel about this excerpt of a quote from Truly but it gave me a good laugh.. “Her heart squeezed hard, her inner a$$hole chastizing her..” Maybe I’ll discover something new about my anatomy…

  7. CelineB says:

My Scandalous Duke, a novella by Theresa Romaine, is .99 at Amazon and Kobo at least.

  8. KASI says:

I still remember the beautiful review for Truly. It made me buy the book and I discovered an auto-buy author.

  9. Heather S says:

“The Restorer” by Amanda Stevens (the first in her Graveyard Queen series) is on sale for $0.99 for Kindle. This series is crazy addictive and I love it so much.

  10. Holly Gault says:

Based on this post, I bought Truly. I am soooooooo glad that I did and immediately preordered Madly. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  11. Nancy C says:

I adore what I’ve read so far from Ruthie Knox, so thanks for the lead on Truly. I clicked so fast…
