Twice a Quinceañera by Yamile Saied Méndez is $2.99! This was mentioned on a previous Hide Your Wallet and I remember Sarah being excited for this on in a previous podcast. Did any of you grab this one when it released?
Dark Witch by Nora Roberts is $1.99! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals. It also has a new cover! What do we think compared to the older one? It’s the first book in the The Cousins O’Dwyer Trilogy.
An Improper Arrangement by Kasey Michaels is $1.99! This is the first book in The Little Season series and features a romance between an American heiress and her chaperone in London. Readers warn that the book starts slowly, but many loved the banter between the hero and heroine.
An Easy Death by Charlaine Harris is $3.99! This is the first book in the fantasy western Gunnie Rose series. I’m super curious about it and have the first book just sitting on my TBR. One thing that does bug me is that the third book in the series is coming out and the cover is a big departure from the previous two books.
Scandalous by Minerva Spencer is $1.99! This is book three in the Outcasts series and I just love the colors and pop of the blue dress on the cover. I think Spencer’s romances are love ’em or hate ’em type books, as they use a lot of Old Skool tropes. How are those handled? What do you think?
Subversive is the first book in the Clandestine Magic trilogy and when I finished it I immediately one-clicked the next two books. Subversive ends on a cliffhanger so be prepared to rush to the next book, which also ends on a cliffhanger, before wrapping everything up at the trilogy’s end.
Dreadnought is my catnip in concept and yet the book bugged me a little. This story about a transgender teen superhero is a coming-out story wrapped in a cape. It has fun elements but suffers from characters who are under-developed.
The Arrangement is an anthology containing historical romance novellas from Sylvia Day, Minerva Spencer, and Kristin Vayden. It’s on sale for $1.99! I’m unsure if the Day novella was previously published, but all the stores have a marriage of convenience theme. Some Goodreads reviews mention there being too much sexytimes.
Foolish Bride by A.S. Fenichel is 99c at Amazon and Kobo! This is a second chance romance between two people who were supposed to get married. Some readers mentioned that the dialogue felt a bit too modern for a historical romance, but others really liked the heroine.
