RECOMMENDED: Love is Blind by Lynsay Sands is $1.99! I have such a soft spot in my heart for this book, but I have no clue if it holds up and many reviews mention anachronistic language.
Shanna by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss $1.99! Old skool alert! This is definitely a formative historical romance text, but that comes with a warning that it probably won’t hold up. One of the foreign covers of Shanna is my absolute favorite.
Here to Stay by Adriana Herrera is $1.99! This is the first book in the Dating in Dallas series, which I believe was mentioned in a previous Hide Your Wallet. It also has enemies to lovers! Have you read this one?
A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik is $3.99! It’s also a Kindle Daily Deal. If you’re unsure about whether to pick up this book, I highly recommend reading Aarya’s review as well as this Goodreads review to make that decision for yourself. The comments on that GR review are also super insightful, as it contains comments from readers of color about various cultural identities present in the book.
The Studying Hours by Sara Ney is $2.99 at Amazon! Series name aside, I really enjoyed this one back when the Audible Escape package was around. I also recommended it in our Seduction as a Bet Rec League and for Ready Set Go: Double Features.
RECOMMENDED: The Lord I Left by Scarlett Peckham is $1.99! Thanks for everyone who let us know about this sale. I believe it’s best to read this series in order, rather than as standalones. Claudia gave this one a B+:
There was a lot to like and enjoy: plenty of funny and tender moments, thoughtful discussions, and some of my favorite setups in romance, including an “one room at the inn” scenario.
A Good Duke is Hard to Find by Christina Britton is $1.99! This is also part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals. This is the first book in the Isle of Synne series and I’m sure it’s pronounced “sin” but my mind went to “sine” and I, for one, will avoid an island of calculus. No thank you!
A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole is $2.99! This is the first book in her Reluctant Royals series and this seems to be a series that just keeps getting better with its books. Many readers loved how Alyssa writes consent, agency, and all sorts of other awesome and empowering things. However, some warn that this book takes several chapters to get into the swing of things.
Melting the Ice by Jaci Burton is $1.99! This is book seven in the Play-by-Play series and though it’s been a while since I’ve read this one, I think it’s fine as a standalone. I have a soft spot for this series as I devoured it rather quickly in my early 20s. The lovely team at Berkley even turned this cover into a poster for me. It hangs over my bed.
