It’s a new year, and time for a new season of The Bachelor. This season features a past Bachelorette loser: Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Arie is a racecar driver and describes this season as his most “important race yet.” IT’S NOT A RACE, ARIE, IT’S A JOURNEY! Once again I contend that this show is not really about “the Bachelor” but about amazing women forming friendships while traveling and drinking and spending ABC’s money. And I’m 100% here … Continue reading Elyse Watches The Bachelor – Episode One: Four Laurens→
Feared Viking blacksmith (of sorts) in the Raven clan has a massive crush on a former Marine who is reborn as a Crow. (Bonus: Ravens giving him shit about his crush, and his ability to admit easily that he really likes her: ALL the thumbs, all of them up.)

Amanda, Carrie, Elyse, RedHeadedGirl and I sit down to look back at 2017, the things we enjoyed and treasured, and the books we loved that got us through the year. We cover movies, music, and other uplifting pieces of entertainment that give us a lift this year. Expect many recommendations!
Zero to Sixty by Marie Harte is 99c! This is a contemporary romance with a lonely mechanic hero. There’s also an adorable stray dog named Cookie. This can definitely be read as a standalone, but some found the hero a little too gruff for their liking. For the most part, I’ve enjoyed this series

I have no cares as to whether it is contemporary or historical but would like to find something funny or witty. I’m … Continue reading The Rec League: Renovation Romances→
