This HaBO comes from Cory, who is looking for this romance:
Looking for an older Medieval Fantasy Romance read between 2009–2013 (likely published in the 1990s or early 2000s).
The Cover: Features a beautifully handsome, long-haired blond man.
The Setting: Pure medieval / fantasy fey realm. No time travel, no modern day elements, and definitely no Vikings.
The Opening: The book starts directly from the female main character’s point of view.
The Plot: The heroine has been put into an involuntary, magical stasis or enchanted sleep by an evil antagonist. She is trapped inside a Fey/magical realm.
The Dream Connection: While her physical body is locked away in stasis, she projects her mind/consciousness into the dreamscape. She infiltrates the dreams of the male lead. He is a complete stranger to her and has no idea who she is at first.
The Deadline & Quest: She gives him a strict fortnight (two-week) deadline to find her physical body before the villain’s plans are sealed on Midsummer’s Eve. Driven by the dreams, the blond hero has to travel on foot through the woods to track down her physical location and rescue her.
Title Clues: It might have had “Midsummer” or “Fortnight” somewhere in the title or the series name.
