Need some help deciding what to read this summer? Hopefully our handy bingo card can help!
Beginning on the Summer Solstice, which falls on June 20th in the US and ending on September 21st, right before the Autumnal Equinox, we invite you to play our 2024 Summer Romance Bingo.

Please save the image to use on your own! If you’d like to share on social media, please use the hashtag #SBTBingo so we can see how your card is coming along! Participants who complete at least one bingo are eligible for prizes, including stickers, swag, and a big ol’ box o’ books for one lucky winner.
To submit your card, please fill out this form. Maximum of five entries per person!
Standard disclaimers apply: Void where prohibited. Must be over 18 and ready to read some excellent books. Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law.
Winners will be announced and notified shortly after midnight, 21 September.
If you need clarification on any of the categories or want to crowdsource reading recommendations, feel free to ask or brainstorm in the comments section! Remember that bingo doesn’t kick off until June 20th, so don’t start reading qualifying books until then.

I love a reading bingo! Unfortunately I just committed myself to the epic task of reading all of the Niccolo Rising series by Dorothy Dunnett (old school dense historical adventure series) this summer. Truthfully, suspect I’ll only make it 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through, but it’s a good goal for me.
I hope you will consider doing a fall or winter one. If I’m not done by then, I’ll have to put myself out of my misery 😉
If it had already started I could complete more than one row with June’s reading already – assuming DNFs count. Retellings and new authors always remain super enticing to me, but (along with Vikings) almost invariably make me rage quit.
I’ll add this to my summer reading challenges! I love the mix of prompts!
This looks fun!
@kkw I feel you! I’ve saved the card image. Now I should go through my TBR and see how many titles I’ve got in the queue that could get me to Bingo! Stickers would make me unreasonably happy…
Can you check off more than one box per book? I’m reading Ali Hazelwood’s THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS right now, and it has both fake dating and an academic setting. If not, it’s not as if having an excuse to read more books is exactly a burden . . .
>@Susan/DC: One book per box, please!
So if I read the book on a roadtrip or if the character(s) takes a roadtrip?or both?
@Gina: The characters take a road trip.
This looks like much more fun than the local library’s summer reading bingo. Thank you very much!
@Amanda: A question for you. Does the FREE SPACE require reading a book or does it signify that reading anything is fine for that square?
@Kareni: Yes, you read a book for the free space, but it can be any book and doesn’t have to satisfy any requirements.
Thank you, @Amanda.
Yay – this challenge is now on StoryGraph. Thank you to domtheknight for adding it.

I use StoryGraph and GoodReads for different things and StoryGraph is so, so good for reading challenges. I love that you can see what other people have added for each prompt. I can add books I’m planning to read but it won’t count the prompt as complete until I actually read the book. Which is great for me, because choosing what I’m going to read is half the fun.
@cleo: Awesome! And thank you to domtheknight for spreading the love on StoryGraph!
If you’re not on social media, can you just list the entries on the form like for the Ripped Bodice Bingo? I’ve tried desktop and mobile and am having trouble resizing the board to a decent size…
Okay, I just linked to my StoryGraph username in the form and listed the five books just in case…then I had to resubmit it because I thought I omitted one. Heat waves are not my friend, I apologize!
@Trix: We’ve updated the form! You can either submit your social media post or list your books. Thanks for the suggestion (and we received yours!).
