Ravenous
Ravenous by Kresley Cole is $1.99! I’m honestly shocked this is on sale only a month after release. I bought a hard copy of this one from a Florida store, ERRA Books, because Cole’s website mentioned they may still have swag left. And now I’m going to rant. I placed an order on 8/3. No movement. Emailed them 8/16. Haven’t gotten a response yet. Got a notification that a shipping label was printed 8/19. No movement. The site mentions the store is moving, but their last day at their previous location was in April. So perhaps they don’t have a new storefront yet? I’ll be on vacay in 10 days and was hoping to have it by then. I may break down and buy it digitally.
From #1 New York Times bestseller Kresley Cole comes a darkly seductive new series where immortal passion collides with ruthless power.
Beyond the mortal world lies the Skein, a realm of mythic beauty and savage desire ruled by creatures of legend. Here, vampires, witches, demons, and wolves wage war—and hunt their pleasures just as fiercely.
Now, the Accession has begun, an ancient cycle of chaos and destiny that reignites old hostilities and forges fated bonds too hot to resist.
A witch queen on the rise defies the brutal wolf king who stands in her way. But when fate twists their battlefield into a bed of temptation, sworn enemies become something far more perilous. Lovers.
A vampire princess trades her crown for freedom, only to be bound to a scarred Berserker, a man whose possessive touch both terrifies and tempts her.
An incubus spy and a cunning vampiress strike a dangerous bargain for survival, and profit, but lust becomes the one gamble neither expected.
And when a wolf and an enchantress from opposing clans dare to make peace, their forbidden attraction could doom the Skein…or spark a love that defies the gods.
Brimming with intrigue, bloody mayhem, and scorching heat, Ravenous plunges readers into the world of Immortals Untold—where magic kills, surrender triumphs, and immortal hungers can never be sated…

A Wolf Apart
RECOMMENDED: A Wolf Apart by Maria Vale is $1.99 and a KDD! This is book two in the Legend of All Wolves series. I love this series to pieces and how Vale builds the wolf, shifter, and human mythology. Definitely slow burns with a focus on character relationships!
When the Great North Pack is on the verge of falling apart, Pack wolf Elijah Sorensson wants to give up on his successful life in the human world to return home. But the Alpha says no—Elijah must continue to play his role to protect the Pack from those who want to destroy it.
Knowing he needs strength by his side, he seeks out human Thea Villalobos, a woman he’s admired from the moment he met her. He hopes she can help him break through his human shell before the ailing wolf inside him dies, and before the Pack is betrayed again. But can Thea accept who and what Elijah really is?

I have to admit that I despised Dating Dr. Dil with every fiber of my being. However, mileage varies hugely with this one. I’d recommend checking out the one star reviews on Goodreads to see if anything you hate (especially with male love interest dynamics/tendencies) is present. it certainly was for me!
Dating Dr Dil is an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. I would def recommend it for that price!
I love the contrast of opinions here. LOL
My only thought was “Ugh, LKH”. I quit reading her Anita Blake series way back in 2011/2012 because the final book I read, “Bullet”, was SO BAD that I just couldn’t take it anymore. The sheer level of Mary Sue in those books + the author’s attitude towards anyone who criticized her work as she ramped up the s3xual content and relationship drama and dialed back on actual plot = me ragequitting. I know she’s continued to write 700-page doorstops, and I can’t say I’m surprised they’re reissuing the Merry Gentry series (in trade paperback) for all the fae-obsessed romantasy fans now.
And speaking of books on sale, Nyla K.’s “For the Fans” is on sale for Kindle for $1.49. Not sure how long the “limited time deal” is going to last, so snag it if you’ve been waiting for it to drop in price.
