Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

HaBO: Historical Where She Fakes Her Own Death

You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO comes from Laura, who is looking for this historical romance:

I recently (a year ago maybe?) read a book. It was part of a series and I completely lost the name or author.

This is what I remember: It is a Regency romance. The heroine fakes her death to escape from her abusive husband (an old lady helps her) and then she creates a group of people that help other abused women escape.

She needs the help of the hero, who is a drunk (I think he is just back from the war), and together they help a young woman escape her husband with her kids.

That is all I can get, I remember more but I might be mixing it in my head with other similar books.

Can we HaBO?

I second I’ve Got My Duke to Keep Me Warm. It came out in 2014, but was featured in the daily sales links here a couple of times.

Thirding Kelly Bowen’s I’ve Got My Duke To Keep Me Warm. I liked this and the second book in the Lords of Worth series a lot!

Yes to everyone; it’s Kelly Bowen’s I’ve Got My Duke to Keep Me Warm. FYI all of Kelly Bowen’s historical romances are great; I love her heroines (Gisele in this one is a prime example of how awesome they are).
