Ready? Let’s do this!
Today’s prize is: yarn and books! Limited edition yarn, plus a big ol’ box of books.
Look how pretty!
Elyse has some details about what’s included:

- These are club colors and can’t be bought online or in stores.
- The yarn is a soft single ply and 100% Merino wool.
The prize pack also includes a small Namaste project bag from Jimmy Beans Wool.
And of course books! Elyse will include several books across varying sub-genres of romance.
Want to enter? Yay!
Just leave a comment and tell us about your favorite craft, hobby, or way to enjoy your time – and of course, the answer can be reading!
Standard disclaimers apply: I am not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Must be over 18 and ready to get wooly. Not responsible for further acquisition of yarn beyond life expectancy. It’s a hazard of knitting, we know.

Good luck, Happy Hanukkah, and thank you for being part of Smart Bitches!
Winner update: Congratulations to Janine! Only a few more giveaways left!
I’ve started to crochet again as I realized I can’t prozess more words in the evenings after especially Long and stressfull days.
Knitting, reading, & podcasts are my fave leisure activities. Happy Hanukkah!
Knitting while listening to podcasts or audiobooks. And I’m trying to get back into weaving and embroidery.
Knitting and reading!
My favorite hobbies are knitting and reading.
Cooking! I spend a lot of time on the weekends planning & cooking, trying new recipes & making favorites, so there are leftovers &/or heat & eat for dinners through the week. Everything, from the planning, cleaning, cooking, and eating are therapeutic for me. (And everyone stays out of the kitchen while I’m in the groove, bonus!)
BOOKS AND YARN! The 2 things I can’t stop buying. I am on a bit of a crochet kick right now. Working on a shawl while I watch The Witcher on Netflix.
Reading is my number one hobby/stress-reliever/downtime-filler. My second is cooking: I love to cook and find the entire process from prepping the ingredients all the way to the final product to be incredibly relaxing. In fact, I wish I could post the picture of me yesterday taking my Yorkshire Puddings out of the oven—they had risen beautifully and were a lovely golden color…and delicious!
I am a quilter – it can be a solitary hobby, and I can listen to audiobooks while quilting (how I plan on spending part of today!); and it can also be a group activity as I participate in an old-fashioned quilting bee every Tuesday,
I love to read, crochet, cook, make jewelry, listen to live music, and sleep!
I can’t pick just one, so I’ll cheat a little and say all fiber crafts. 🙂
Reading of course! And I’ve just started sewing again.
I love reading and baking…but I got into crochet and it’s so fun!
Reading, stitching, and crocheting. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to do all at the same time.
My favourite hobbies are knitting and reading. Thank goodness for the invention of audiobooks and podcasts which allow me to indulge in both at the same time :-).
Other than reading and knitting, it’s playing logic puzzle games on the computer and match three games on the phone.
Mostly reading! Although I do also like knitting and crochet.
Reading and working on puzzles (the regular jigsaw puzzles, Sudoku or the 3d lego kind)
I enjoy reading, baking, and working out
1. Reading
2. Research
3. Crocheting (recent addition; it works well while sitting with my dh getting chemo)
4. Designing (clothes, interiors… anything, actually)
Absolutely need to think AND create.
oh what beautiful yarn!
knitting is definitely my #1 hobby, followed closely by spinning (in order to have more to knit, LOL!)
I learned how to knit brioche stitch on Christmas Eve and now that’s all I want to do.
Definitely reading, but “crochet while watching TV” is right up there.
Reading, knitting, and playing the piano!
Knitting all the way! I picked up knitting over a year ago and I’m an addict now.
I love reading and watching my sister knit
My favorite hobby is reading, but painting is a close second. I loved all kinds of crafting and art growing up and am trying to incorporate more. Elyse has me really interested in knitting after that SBTB post earlier this year about how it’s great for chronic pain because of the way it engages the brain.
Reading is my favorite hobby! I want to try knitting – it’s one of my 2020 resolution ideas.
I love knitting. And reading. And biking.
I love to sew, dance, and take care of my bees. My bees are hibernating right now, so that means more Flamenco and more sewing time. At the moment I am doing some math to alter a dress pattern from the 50s to fit my shape, and taking frequent breaks to read and stuff cookies in my face.
I make jewelry which is really funny since I don’t wear much of it anymore. I like the twisting of metal, the colors metal turns when heated.
Reading and going for nature walks are my two of my go-to ways to unwind. And every once in a while I combine my two loves and listen to an audiobook while walking through the woods.
Fave is probably sewing but I feel I’m an all around (mediocre but striving to be better!) crafter/artist-wanna-be.
Sewing, crochet, knitting, painting, drawing, etc.!
Picking a favorite hobby is hard. I love knitting and reading, but also cooking, baking, and gardening!
Gardening and reading. Food for my soul.
Reading, and baking with my 5 year old
I love knitting socks but I want to do more sweaters in 2020
Knitting, reading, swilling tea – sometimes all three at once.
It’s reading or listening to audiobooks while cross stitching, smocking or knitting.
Reading and knitting. When I first learned to knit fifteen years ago, my mother said it was the first time she’d seen me do anything besides read.
Reading, cooking, and gardening, both vegetables and flowers.
