  • A Beastly Kind of Earl

A Beastly Kind of Earl by Mia Vincy

    Author: Mia Vincy
Released: November 26, 2019 by Inner Ballad Press
    Genre: ,
Series: Right Kind of Love #2

An outcast fighting for her future…

Thea Knight loves a spot of mischief. She especially loves her current mischief: masquerading as her sister, while finalizing her scheme to expose the dastardly knaves whose lies ruined her life.

Then Lord Luxborough, big, bad-tempered, and scarred, upends her game by maneuvering her into marriage. But her sister’s name is on the license, so the marriage won’t be valid. Thea’s idea? Keep pretending to be her sister until she can run away.

A recluse haunted by his past…

Rafe Landcross, Earl of Luxborough, has no love for mischief. Or marriage. Or people, for that matter. The last thing he wants is a wife—but if he marries, he’ll receive a large sum of much-needed money.

Then he learns that Thea Knight is using a false name. Rafe’s idea? Pretend he doesn’t know her true identity, marry her, and send her packing once the money is his.

A compelling attraction that changes their lives…

But as passion ignites and secrets emerge, the mutual deception turns tricky fast. Rafe and Thea face irresistible temptations, unsettling revelations, and a countdown to the day when Thea must leave…

Fun, tender, and steamy, this Gothic-flavored historical romance tells of a fake marriage between a grumpy, scarred hero and a trickster heroine who reminds him how to play.

After growing up with nothing, he’s forged a stellar career for himself, but history is more than just a job, it’s his lifeblood. So Zach is amazed to find himself as excited by a woman as he is by his dive. Dangerous Morgan fascinates him, and he’s eager to see what she’s hiding under her tough exterior.

I made a note how I wished for a scientist hero/bodyguard heroine pairing in recent Books on Sale and they exist!

  1. DonnaMarie says:

I’m sure I’ve mentioned (ha!) that I recently finished Mia Vincy’s A Wicked Kind of Husband, and it was THE BEST romance reading experience I’ve had in a while. You can only imagine the excitement and dread with which I am anticipating A Beastly Kind of Earl. To have another quality read coming in the near future has got me doing a pee-pee dance, but what if the first book is a fluke? What if it’s The Search For Spock?. CAN’T WAIT!!

  2. BrandanWH says:

Anyone think that woman on the first book favors Keira Knightly? Or do I just need to watch ‘Pride and Prejudice’ again?

  3. MaryK says:

Somewhere, Anna Hackett is wondering why this 2017 book is having a sudden upsurge in sales.

  4. HeatherS says:

“Full Moon Rising” by Keri Arthur is a KDD for $1.99.

  5. FashionablyEvil says:

So, I would also like to recommend A Wicked Kind of Husband. I have not yet finished it, but this is how much I am enjoying it:

I walked to yoga this morning and I wanted to keep reading but it was cold and I didn’t want to have to keep pulling off my gloves. So I discovered that one can tap your kindle on your nose to make the page advance. I’m just glad it was 8:30 on a Sunday morning so I don’t think anyone noticed me periodically tapping myself in the face with my kindle.

  6. Michelle says:

    @ FashionablyEvil

That image is ridiculously cute! ^_^

  7. Kareni says:

I can see the cover blurb on A Wicked Kind of Husband — “a nose tappingly good read!”

  8. Ginger says:

I am also not finished with A Wicked Kind of Husband, but I’m enjoying it so, so much! I’ve preordered the second book. Fingers crossed that the first isn’t a fluke.

  9. Nio says:

I just finished Mia Vincy’s A Wicked Kind of Husband and oh gosh it was one of the best romance novel experiences I’ve had in a while too. About halfway through I was in tears and then I ugly cried my way to the end pretty much. Think stuffy nose, clutching my chest. But the good kind of ugly crying where the emotion just gets to you and you love the characters and they’re all good, flawed people. And it’s funny too for those who’re afraid it might be too sad

  10. Antipodean Shenanigans says:

If Unfathomed is basically feminist Dirk Pitt, I’ll be a very happy camper.
