No Other Duke Will Do
No Other Duke Will Do by Grace Burrowes is $1.99! This is the third book in the Windham Brides series and features a relationship of convenience. There is also a huge library. Readers say this is a pretty enjoyable read, though it’s not Burrowes’ best. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.
Julian St. David, Duke of Haverford, is barely keeping his head above water in a sea of inherited debts. Though he has a long-term plan to restore the family finances, his sister has a much faster solution: host a house party for London’s single young ladies and find Julian a wealthy bride.
Elizabeth Windham has no interest in marriage, but a recent scandal has forced her hand. As much as she’d rather be reading Shakespeare than husband-hunting, she has to admit she’s impressed by Julian’s protective instincts, broad shoulders, and, of course, his vast library.
As the two spend more time together, their attraction is overwhelming, unexpected… and absolutely impossible. With meddling siblings, the threat of financial ruin, and gossips lurking behind every potted palm, will they find true love or true disaster?

The Scotsman Who Saved Me
The Scotsman Who Saved Me by Hannah Howell is $1.99! This is the first book in a new series, Seven Brides for Seven Scotsmen. There is a “nursed back to health” element, if that’s your catnip. However, readers were expecting a bit more action based on the book description.
From New York Times bestselling author Hannah Howell comes a brand new series featuring the MacEnroys, a family of seven strong, seductive Scottish brothers who have come to America with nerves of steel—and who will take no prisoners when it comes to love…
A brutal attack on Emily Stanton’s family has left her for dead . . . until she is found in the woods by a handsome stranger with a thick brogue who vows to protect her. There’s only one problem: As a woman with a noble English background, she has no business keeping company with such a man.
For Scotsman Iain MacEnroy, Emily’s high-tone accent is a bitter reminder of the oppressive regime he left behind. The last thing he needs is to be burdened by the needs of a beautiful, blue-eyed Englishwoman. But taking care of elegant, educated Emily begins to transform Iain in ways he never imagined. Could it be that the deep divisions from the old world no longer apply in the new—and that Iain and Emily can share a passion as lush and wild as the Scottish highlands themselves?

Pack Enforcer
Pack Enforcer by Lauren Dane is $1.99! This is the first book in the Cascadia Wolves series. The book is on the shorter side and was previously published under a different name, in case things sound familiar. Readers seem divided on the heroine. Some found her unlikeable, while others thought she was tough and flawed.
This wolf mates for life…
Nina Reyes knows trouble when she sees it, and Lex Warden, Enforcer for the local werewolf pack, is nothing but. When her brother gets in too deep with some dangerous wolves and comes to Nina for help—dragging super alpha protector Lex into her life—she can handle it. She might have put her grifter past behind her, but she’s still got what it takes. If only she didn’t find Lex—his body, his scent, even his domineering nature—so intoxicating.
As Enforcer, it’s Lex’s job to protect his people. Nina might be more capable of handling herself than he initially thought, but that doesn’t mean she’s safe from their enemies. His need to protect her is more than just pack business—Nina, a human, is his mate. Bedding her once is not even close to enough; to satisfy his wolf, he needs a true bond.
The heat between them scares Nina, but sometimes the reward is worth the risk, and the thought of living without Lex terrifies her more than any threat the werewolf mafia can pose. Lex will do anything to keep her safe. And when the Rogues catch up to them, he’ll get a chance to prove it…

I just bought and read “No Other Duke Will Do” and I found it utterly delightful. No need to have read the first two books in the series; only one minor plot point carries over, and is explained early on.
I bought the Legend of the Earle book even though I’m not much in to historicals, but the plot was intriguing. I read Pack Enforcer a very long time ago. It isn’t one of my favorites of her writing but it is good. I think that she has really improved with female friendships in later series, though. I enjoyed the heroine in this one a lot, from what I remember.
Am I the only one who thinks the dress on The Legend of the Earl cover overwhelms the model wearing it? The color is gorgeous but both the style and size are unattractive on her. She looks like she’s playing dress up.
