Some readers found difficulty with liking the hero, but this is a second chance romance, and many liked how the two former spouses built a relationship again. It has a 3.9-star rating on GoodReads.

Love Me If You Dare by Toni Blake is $1.99 and is the second book in her Coral Cove series! I’ve read some Blake in the past and she definitely writes some feel-good romances. However, this book is set in Florida and I’m in not hurry to be transported back to me homeland, fictional or otherwise (even despite the Boston snow). A handful of readers felt the end was wrapped up too quickly and too neatly, but many loved the small town, opposites attract plot. Any takers?

The Will by Kristen Ashley is 99c! A contemporary romance, this is the first book in her Magdalene series. Reviewers found this to be an emotional read, and recommend that if you’ve never read Ashley, this is a good place to start. However, some thought the heroine desperately needed a backbone and some self-confidence. It has a 4.3-star rating on GoodReads. Any Ashley fans out there?

Impulse Control by Amanda Usen is $2.99! This is the first book in the Men of the Zodiac series, which you’d think would be paranormal, but it’s not. From the description, it just seems like the hero’s zodiac sign plays into his personality, which could be interesting. Readers loved the humor and banter mixed in throughout the romance and it definitely has the “opposites attract” trope in spades. A few thought the romance was sweet, though nothing special. It has a 4.1-star rating on GoodReads.

Delicious was written back in the days waaaay before the Fool’s Gold tediousness and it is a nice little romance.
Ooh, a Kristen Ashley book is on sale. Maybe you all can point me in the right direction. About a month ago I read Kristen Ashley’s Rock Chick for the first time, and I loved it so much that I went ahead and read the other 7 books in the series. Back to back, instant click deliciousness. They are cracktastic and I. Love. Them.
…Anyways, for those of you who have read more of Kristen Ashley, is there a particular book or series you would recommend reading next? I know it won’t be the same series but I’m hoping there are more books with a similar fun and crazy feel. I’ve read the blurbs for some of her other books and I’m just not sure what to try. All recommendations welcome! (And if you want to rec bks by a different author that rock like Rock Chick, that’s also cool.) đ
“A Viking for the Viscountess,” a new one by Michelle Willingham, looks to be 0.99 cents today at Amazon! I just clicked the ad over to the right. I’ve been eying it for the last week and it finally went down in price, hooray!
@Kate Y.: I loved Kristen Ashley’s Colorado Mountain series (though the last two books aren’t rereads for me). As well as the Chaos series and Motorcycle Man (which is part of the Dream Man series and also starts the Chaos series).
I have a follow-up question to Kate Y.’s. On Ashley’s site it looks as if most of her contemporary novels share the same universe and may have characters in common. Is it necessary to read the individual series in order or is it ok to just read the books in each series in order?
Per her site:
1) The Rock Chick Series (Now, this series is a definite firstâŠBUT, I would strongly suggest reading The Colorado Mountain Series somewhere in this mix. Youâll need to have read Breathe before you read the finale to the Rock Chick Series, Rock Chick Revolution to get the full impact of something. I shall say no more!)
2) The Dream Man Series
3) The Chaos Series/The Unfinished Hero Series
4) The âBurg Series
If youâre really particular about getting the full experience, I suggest you make time to read For You of The âBurg Series before you read Jagged of the Colorado Mountain Series. I know this sounds confusing, but it wasnât when I was writing them!

@Coco: neat, I hadn’t been to that page of Kristen Ashley’s site before. I’ve been waffling back and forth over whether to start the Dream Man series, because the plot set up to Mystery Man sounds really iffy.
