Dalliances & Devotion by Felicia Grossman is $1.99! This is the second book in The Truitts series, and the first is also on sale. Claudia gave this one a B:
Readers who enjoy seeing characters embark on literal and figurative road trips will like this book. As long as they are patient with a few detours, the journey and the destination are worth it.

Ice Cream Lover by Jackie Lau is $3.99! Holy abs, Batman! This is the second book in the Baldwin Village series, which can be read out of order. This series has a lot of foodie elements and is relatively low angst, which a lot of us are in the mood for right now.

Welcome back to Lightning Reviews! There’s a whole assortment here: a mystery, a contemporary romance, and a historical romance. The grades here range from borderline middling to straight up DNF. There are also a couple here a little longer than our typical Lightning Reviews, though they’re still shorter than our regular reviews, which are typically over 1000 words.

There are more of us now and with all of us listing so many books, we felt the feature was getting a bit unwieldy and away from romance. Going forward, we’ve giving ourselves individual caps and a certain number … Continue reading December’s New Releases →
The Scot Beds His Wife by Kerrigan Byrne is $1.99! This is the fifth book in the Victorian Rebels series and Elyse was really excited for this one in a previous Hide Your Wallet. Some readers warn that the writing is over the top, while others recommend Byrne if you need a crazysauce fix.

You Can’t Touch My Hair by Phoebe Robinson is $2.99! Readers say this memoir is hilarious and I believe it, as someone who listens to Robinson’s podcast, 2 Dope Queens. However, others say the book has a great first half, but the essays decline in interest after that. Have you read this one?
