First, yes, you should absolutely read this book immediately, if you haven’t already. There is so much happening in the conflict within each of the protagonists, between the protagonists, and around them and their allies and enemies, I can’t possibly discuss all of it, but please know: if you are a reader (and why else would you be here, right?) this book is a marvelous, intelligent, respectful, breathtaking treat for your brain.

To One Hundred by Melissa Blue is 99c at select vendors! I’ve heard great things about Blue’s writing and this is the first book in her #dirtysexygeeks series. The romance is a taboo relationship between a teacher and a student, though the hero and heroine originally meet and flirt online before they realize who they are in person. Readers loved the premise, but found it hard to find the connection between the hero and heroine.

Secret Star by Nora Roberts is $1.99 at Amazon! Send some thoughts to the price-matching gods! This is the third book in the Stars of Mithra series. Some readers definitely recommend reading these books in order because they share a common thread and villain. However, many loved the slight magical elements to the story. Have you read this one?

RECOMMENDED: Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix is $3.99 at most vendors and $3.82 at Amazon! This is a dark comedy/horror novel about a haunted IKEA-esque store. Carrie reviewed the book a few months ago and gave it an A:
Even in the darkest moments, the absurdity of the situation adds some sardonic humor. It’s hard not to giggle at a line like “They nailed me inside a Liripip” or a scenario in which someone’s survival depends on disassembling cheap furniture with one of those weird Allen wrench things.

Contemporaries by Shalvis, Ashley, & More
Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley is 99c! That’s right, less than a dollar! This is a contemporary romance and the second book in the Colorado Mountain series. The heroine moves to a small Colorado town for a fresh start after her husband is caught cheating. Readers adored the hero, Tate, and his transition from grizzled ex-cop to considerate protector. A few reviews on GoodReads also mentioned that Ashley’s writing style took some time to get used it. Sweet Dreams has a 4.4-star rating on GoodReads.
