The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels felt very much like a Shelly Laurenston romance in a historical package. It’s loud, over the top, and has much more of a focus on wild action scenes.
The Other Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn is $1.99! This is the third book in the Rokesbys series and also described as a Bridgertons prequel. However, readers say this works fine as a standalone. Quinn is an auto-buy for a lot of romance readers, though some were unable to forgive the hero for kidnapping the heroine.
Hearts and Swords by Robin D. Owens is $3.79 at Amazon and $3.99 elsewhere! This is a collection of short romances set in the Celta world from the rest of the Heartmates series, and it might be a good place to start! As Reader Vicki mentioned before, Celta has Wiccan influences with a good mix of scifi and fantasy. For the most part, readers enjoyed the collection, though some felt there was an odd one out.
