Shades of Wicked by Jeaniene Frost is $1.99! This is the first book in the Night Rebel series, which is a spin-off of Frost’s Night Huntress series. I read this one and I found it to be a lot of fun. The opening scene is quite…memorable. However, as someone who never got into the Night Huntress series, I’ll admit there’s a learning curve with understanding the world-building. I also made a cocktail for this one!
The Governess by Christi Caldwell is the third book in the Wicked Wallflowers series, and I found out the hard way that this series really, really has to be read in order. Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett is $1.99! This is a YA romance with movie nerdery and an enemies to lovers romance. Some readers found the heroine to be prickly and pretentious. However, others said they couldn’t stop smiling while reading this one.
The Dukes of Vauxhall is 99c! This is a historical romance anthology with four novellas. All of the romances take place simultaneously and readers say the authors did a great job keeping the continuity straight. However, with anthologies, not all of the stories are equal in their enjoyment. Have you read this one?
Diary of an Accidental Wallflower by Jennifer McQuiston is $1.99. This is the first book in McQuiston’s Seduction Diaries series. Readers who enjoyed it loved that the hero was of a lower social class than the heroine. Several readers also describe McQuiston’s books as their new favorite comfort reads – now that’s a huge compliment!
