If this book had maintained its giddy pace all the way through, it would have absolutely delighted me. As it is, it’s a distinctly meh situation that I’m left with. Would I recommend it? Probably not. The first just-over-half is really fun reading, but it falls apart so dramatically after that, I ended up very disappointed.
RECOMMENDED: The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty is $1.99! Carrie squeed about this one:
I adored every part of this story – the stakes, the world-building, the language, the characters, and the action. I can’t wait to read more of it.
Kiss Her Once for Me by Alison Cochrun is $1.99! I remember Aarya being excited for this one in Hide Your Wallet, but it seems like there was too much emphasis on pop culture and not enough on the actual relationship.

So We Meet Again by Suzanne Park is $2.99! This is a contemporary romance and was mentioned in a previous Hide Your Wallet. As an aside, I’ve done a few events with Park for their books and they are a damn delight.
