I loved Battle Royal. While it did have minor flaws, it more than made up for them with humour, tenderness, and food porn.
These Summer Storms by Sarah MacLean is $2.99! Last time this was on sale, commenters mentioned it skews more toward women’s fiction. What did you think of this one?
Annie Knows Everything by Rachel Wood is $1.99! This one feels like contemporary fiction with a subplot of a workplace romance, rather than a full on contemporary romance. However, please correct me if I’m wrong!
RECOMMENDED: The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen is $1.99! Sarah loved this one and gave it an A-:
If you like fantasy with characters that might sound like your neighbors sometimes, in a world with big stakes and little stakes and magical talking animals who deliver the mail, and especially if you like epistolary novels that lead to characters becoming more of themselves, you’ll like this undertaking. (Bad dum bum.)
Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood is $2.99! This is the first book in a series of the same name. Book two is Problematic Summer Romance, and I kind of hate how the cover designs are so different tonally.
The Mistress Experience by Scarlett Peckham is $2.99! This is book three in the Society of Sirens series and we featured this on Cover Awe. Not sure if Peckham plans on writing more historicals. Her current releases have been contemporaries under the pen name Katelyn Doyle.
Enchanting the Fae Queen by Stephanie Burgis is $2.99! Big thanks to everyone who let us know about this sale. It’s book two in the Queens of Villainy series and it released in January of this year.
Voidwalker by S.A. Maclean is $2.99! This was released last August and I mentioned it on Hide Your Wallet. This is a duology and book two is out next month.
RECOMMENDED: The Halifax Hellions by Alexandra Vasti is $2.99! I could not find this on BN, but I’ve found the search is pretty borked since their site update. If you happen to find it digitally for BN, let me know so I can update the links. This collects the first two novellas in the Halifax Hellions series. The trilogy of novellas was favorably reviewed on the site.
Chaos by Constance Fay is $2.99! This is book three in the Uncharted Hearts sci-fi romance series. I DNF’d book one and was underwhelmed by book two. Perhaps I expected too much from the series. Have you read them? What did you think?
