This is a travel romance with the heroine uprooting her life to movie to Italy. It also has a second chance romance as well. Some readers say this is less of a romance and more like chick lit, but many found it to be heartfelt and humorous.
If I’m being very specific, When All the Girls Have Gone by Jayne Ann Krentz is really a romantic mystery not romantic suspense, and that’s what I loved about it. RECOMMENDED: Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson is $3.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched at other sites, so we’re starting off strong! Elyse loved this book and how it helped her deal with chronic pain. She gave it an A:
Furiously Happy is a rare book, a combination of ridiculous humor and poignant reflection. I think anyone who has suffered from a stigmatized illness will identify with Lawson’s honest, sometimes heartbreaking, description of her own pain. It’s still an uplifting book though, and that’s important. Lawson believes in celebrating small victories and quiet bravery. I get that. Sometimes you’re proud because hey, you got out of bed and showered today but you can’t post that on Facebook because other people don’t get it (and you’ll get shitty comments “Wow, I trained for my half marathon and worked 12 hours.” NOBODY CARES, GARY).

Serial killer. And Ghost of St. Giles vigilante. And river pirate. And bondage.
If any or all of those things appeal to you, I’d really recommend this book. If you’re looking for a spicy historical, or one not focused around the glittering aristocracy, Wicked Intentions fits the bill. Aside from a few ball scenes, this book takes place among the working class of London.

RECOMMENDED: The Blades of the Rose bundle by Zoe Archer is $2.99 at select vendors! The bundle is four books with lots of adventuring in a historical setting and some steampunk elements. I really enjoyed this series, though I think Warrior might be my favorite. Any other fans of the series in the Bitchery?
