Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and I believe came out earlier this year. Thorne’s debut was much-loved, though her follow up was meh for most of us. I thought someone on the site reviewed this one, but I think I’m wrong.
Content Warning: PTSD, violence and trauma I read this book at such a furious pace that I’m sure I missed the details. In fact, I know I did. Because I’m struggling to write this review beyond simply repeating “wow” to myself ad infinitum. Deal with the Devil by Kit Rocha is $2.99! Sneezy reviewed this one and gave it a B:
Despite my confusion regarding some of the worldbuilding, the characters and their relationships are developed beautifully, and the entire story thrummed with the sort of vitality that you can only get from a post-apocalyptic road trip with suped-up BAMFs. I can’t rave enough about the emotional literacy this book is built on, which I find incredibly catnippy.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown saw my expectations’ proffered hand and kissed it gently, and then proceeded to charm their pants off. In a tent. With s’mores. (Not with s’mores, because s’mores apparently are not a thing in the UK.) This metaphor got away from me, but you get the idea. This book is outstanding.
