Links: Dogs, Elmo, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome back to Wednesday Links!

Last we talked, I mentioned my wine and cheese class. We had a spectacular cheese made by an Australian cheesemaker and it was made from buffalo milk. It was so good; we definitely brought some home, along with the truffle popcorn they paired it with.

My social calendar feels pretty full the next few weeks. I’m one of those people who will make plans, dread it up until the last second, and then go and have a good time (all while thinking, “wow, that wasn’t so bad.” Any fellow introverted extroverts out there?

How has your week been? Any engagements you’re really excited about?

Anyone interested in a 24-hour, livestreamed Edgar Allan Poe read-a-thon? If so, mark your calendars for May 20th! If you’re local to the Baltimore area, you may be able to participate in person.

If you love looking at photos of dogs, I highly suggest perusing the #dogyearsproject hashtag from photographer Amanda Jones. It’s a series of portraits of young pups and their more senior selves.

More The Kiss Quotient adaptation news! I thought we already had news about this one, but maybe this is just an update of sorts on the process. When it comes to romance novels being optioned for TV or film, I take the stance of “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

If this doesn’t prove Elmo would have been a fine addition to Dune, I don’t know what will. (Warning for movie spoilers and because it’s a very intense scene!)

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

That’s me to a T. I make the plans thinking how nice it’ll be to go out and do something, then it’s a complete 180 and regret making the plans. I just want to stay at home and read or watch tv. But as soon as I’m out, I’m having a great time.

Good to know others feel the same.

I love Elmo. Also thanks for the warning about the intense scene.

Elmo! What?! Can’t unsee it. I was warned.
