By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be on my way home for Orlando. I built a lightsaber at Galaxy’s Edge on Monday and my partner and I ate and drank our way around the world at Epcot on Tuesday. I’m sure there are photos on my instagram account (I’m writing this ahead of time! Hello from the past!).
I also mentioned in a previous podcast that I’m striving to take cheese classes this year to learn more about one of my favorite things. I’ve book my first two classes! January is about red wine and cheese pairings (the Switzerland cheese class I wanted to attend as my first choice was sold out) and well…February’s class is about “weird wine” and cheese pairings. For March, I’m eying a Girl Scout cookie and cheese pairing class.

Data and cute animals combine in this Twitter story. There’s also a scientific paper based on the data collection.
Just learned that Dutch scientists left a hamster wheel outside in 2014 and saw that tons of wild mice used it just for fun as well as frogs and slugs? All the creatures of the forest wanted a turn?? Absolutely phenomenal pic.twitter.com/sL7g9xEdnU

Thank you to Rachel for sending this one in! The Observer talks about the rise of “witch lit,” which is definitely my house of wheels.

Have you heard of the Advanced Style Instagram account? The owner catalogs the fashion of older individuals he sees on the street. He also has a TikTok and blog.

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
Weather was nice but cold for Disney this week. Then again, it was probably balmy compared to Boston. Hope you had a great time.
Advanced Style is also a documentary film (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccai-E36BfI) & a colouring book!
@Sandra: I’m a former Floridian who has lived in New England for 9 years and definitely acclimated to the cold. I was excited to wear short sleeves and sandals! My partner was in shorts.
Hi Amanda, whoooohooo you’ve made my day by including the link I sent about “Witch Lit”, thank you!
Only bettered by that delightful bit about the hamster wheel. I am still trying to work out how much the slugs actually enjoyed it … “just a bit further, just a bit further … oh damn!”
Love the New England winter. Darmouth alum
