Count Your Lucky Stars
Count Your Lucky Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur is $2.99! Tara was excited about this one, but ultimately gave it a C:
Thankfully the epilogue is so far past the main events of the book that I can actually entertain the idea of their HEA, because whoooo, do Margot and Olivia ever need time to work on their communication skills.

If the Shoe Fits
If the Shoe Fits by Julie Murphy is 99c! This came out in August and is a Cinderella-inspired retelling. It also has a reality show element. I’m very excited about this updated Disney princess series. The next one will be written by Jasmine Guillory and is a Beauty & the Beast retelling.
After having just graduated with a degree in shoe design, and trying to get her feet on the ground, Cindy is working for her stepmother, who happens to be the executive producer of America’s favorite reality show, Before Midnight. When a spot on the show needs filling ASAP, Cindy volunteers, hoping it might help jump-start her fashion career, or at least give her something to do while her peers land jobs in the world of high fashion.
Turns out being the only plus size woman on a reality dating competition makes a splash, and soon Cindy becomes a body positivity icon for women everywhere. What she doesn’t expect? That she may just find inspiration—and love—in the process. Ultimately, Cindy learns that if the shoe doesn’t fit, maybe it’s time to design your own.

Hard Pressed
Hard Pressed by Kate Canterbary is 99c at Amazon! It’s also a Kindle Daily Deal. This is the second book in the Talbott’s Cove small town romance series. I know both this author, series, and book in particular have been recommended in the comments.
Dear Jackson,
I’m leaving you this note because I know you’re very busy and I don’t want to waste the town sheriff’s time. Lord knows I’ve already wasted enough of it.
Thank you for taking me home last night and…everything else. I made you a basket of wild blueberry muffins for your trouble. That seemed like the appropriate baked good for getting naked in your living room.
I wasn’t myself last night. I didn’t mean to kiss you or fondle your backside or ask all those intimate questions. Thank you for pretending to enjoy it.
It was very noble of you to sleep on the couch while I was starfished on your bed. I couldn’t help but notice it’s quite large. The bed, that is. I swear, I didn’t notice anything else when I let myself out this morning.
As you know, Talbott’s Cove is a ridiculously small town and there’s no chance we can avoid each other. Not that I’d want to avoid you, of course, but I’m not sure I can look at you without thinking of the forty different ways I made a fool of myself.
Instead of avoidance, let’s try to be friends. We’ll forget all about last night…if that’s what you want.
Please burn this note after you read it—
Annettep.s. I whipped up some cinnamon buns, too. Please enjoy them. I’m not sure why, but I couldn’t get buns out of my mind today.

Emerald Blaze
RECOMMENDED: Emerald Blaze by Ilona Andrews is $2.99! This is book six in the Hidden Legacy series and book two in Catalina’s story arc, so reading out of order isn’t advised. However, if you’ve been waiting for it to go on sale or eventually collect them all digital, now is your chance!
Ilona Andrews, #1 New York Times bestselling author, continues her spellbinding series set in the Hidden Legacy world where magic controls everything…except the hearts of those who wield it.
As Prime magic users, Catalina Baylor and her sisters have extraordinary powers—powers their ruthless grandmother would love to control. Catalina can earn her family some protection working as deputy to the Warden of Texas, overseeing breaches of magic law in the state, but that has risks as well. When House Baylor is under attack and monsters haunt her every step, Catalina is forced to rely on handsome, dangerous Alessandro Sagredo, the Prime who crushed her heart.
The nightmare that Alessandro has fought since childhood has come roaring back to life, but now Catalina is under threat. Not even his lifelong quest for revenge will stop him from keeping her safe, even if every battle could be his last. Because Catalina won’t rest until she stops the use of the illicit, power-granting serum that’s tearing their world apart.

That’s a great deal on Hard Pressed by Kate Canterbary which I found to be an entertaining, quirky, steamy and witty romantic read. All the wonderful baking will make you hungry. Jackson was sexy and swoon-worthy. Heroine’s emotional abuse by her family might be a trigger for some readers. Highlight of the book for me was Annette’s relationship and bawdy dialogue with her best friend Brooke.
Seconding @Carole’s comments. HARD PRESSED is a great book with excellent female friendship rep and a hero with a thorough understanding of consent. I recommend all three Talbott’s Cove books: FRESH CATCH (m/m), HARD PRESSED (m/f), and FAR CRY (m/f—Brooke’s story and my favorite Canterbary).
Seeing Hard Pressed gave me a nice memory of reading the series. The author really gave her characters life. Each book was different and rewarding.
I really liked all of these; If the Shoe Fits was really good.
