Links: Escape Rooms, Cats, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome back to Wednesday Links!

Heads up that my personal link cupboard is looking a little bare, so if you have anything cool, funny, and/or interesting that you’ve found, feel free to drop me a line at the email address below!

How was everyone’s weekend? I celebrated my birthday. Had the usual birthday pizza from my favorite pizza place in the Boston area and then played some Jackbox games with Sarah and some fun people on Twitch. Not bad!

Apparently, Bloomberg has designed a digital escape room! I’m super curious how this works since you’re not physically locked anywhere. There’s also a catch in that if you visit too often, you’ll get locked behind a paywall.

Event alert! At Belmont Books, we’re going to be talking about Jesse Q. Sutanto’s debut book, Dial A for Aunties, which has already been mentioned on Hide Your Wallet and the awesome Uzma Jalaluddin will be joining us!

My friend, Emma, sent this to me in the middle of the night and the snort that left my body was ungodly.

For my birthday, Elyse, Sarah, and Elyse’s husband Rich plotted to get me this wonderful commission of Linus as a Tiefling warlock from Caricatss.

A white and tan cat dressed as a warlock. He has curved horns, a creature with tentacles in his pocket, and has summoned a glowing purple orb.

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

White Oak Library District has several online escape rooms on their Teen Services page. They’re based on popular franchises such as Dungeons & Dragons, Shadow and Bone, The Mandalorian, and Bridgerton.

Happy Birthday! I used to park my Linus in front of bird & squirrel videos on YouTube and he was fine, but I tried it with my new teenaged demon Geordie and he knocked over my laptop so do not dare put them on the tv.
