Links: All Things Happy, Neat, & Weird

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Next week is Christmas. How did that happen?

Next week also kicks off our Best Of content – Cover Snark, reviews, podcasts, sales, and our favorite books of the year. I love reading the comments and seeing what you were and weren’t expecting. Maybe even more so given how wild the year has been.

Whenever I get the opportunity to talk to authors, I love to ask them what they’re reading and loving. NetGalley asked 16 authors about the best books they read this year. Lots of romance authors were asked and there are some great recs!

Here are some suffragists you may have not known about, many of them are women of color. Paging Carrie!

Let yourself be transported to the fantasy of luxury hotel rooms in this Twitter thread:

I was very curious about this seemingly romantic movie starring Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan, but…excuse me? What?

And if you really need to inject some feel-good content into your day, the SBTB team highly recommends this Twitter thread:

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

The rabbit hole of luxury hotels was worth every second I won’t get back. Great take-me-away vibes. And kelly victoria’s twitter thread never gets old. Of course I believe in fairies.

What does everyone think about the Netflix Bridgerton trailer? It looks gorgeous, just gorgeous. And much more racially diverse than the books, which I expect from Shondaland.

I’m happy about the casting of Penelope Featherington – she looks pretty much as I’d pictured her.

I just hope they fixed the dub-con sex scene between Simon and Daphne.

@cleo-I loved the trailer, and I’m so excited for this series! I’m debating reading the whole series again, in preparation-but my TBR library list is telling me to concentrate on that…

The twitter story about the fairy garden was great, only the photos kept blurring and my keyboard seems a little damp now. Sniff.

  5. Kim says:

That Twitter thread was so heartwarming – I loved it!
