I read it recently. All I remember is they are compromised when they are caught having sex in a hallway at the theatre. There is a fire on stage (not just in their sexy bits!) and as the patrons leave, they are seen. She initially thinks she can weather the scandal, but eventually realizes they have to get married.
Given that I probably read this in the last year, it is absurd I can’t remember more. And tells me I should save money by just going back through my Nook and rereading everything
This could possibly be a historical, given the whole “marrying to save face” element, but not many historicals I know of would feature theater boning.
I think I have read this recently, I think by a fairly well known name in regency. Think it might have been more of an alcove or even like a large closet. Sorry can’t remember more. I’ll look thru my history to see if anything rings a bell

Yes, I believe this happened in a closet, or backstage area. If it’s what I’m thinking about it might be an Elizabeth Hoyt? I can’t recall particulars as to which book but that’s the author I’m thinking of.
