Welcome to Cover Awe! Last time, we had some suggestions to include the names of the cover artists. We’ll be doing that going forward, though most books we feature that haven’t been released yet don’t allow us to “take a look” inside the book via Amazon or Google Books to check the copyright page or book jacket. Just an FYI!
If you do happen to locate the cover artist, let us know and we’ll update the post!
Elyse: This is so simple and beautiful.
Amanda: I don’t think I’ve ever been more stunned by a person’s back.
Cover design by Jenn Leblanc & Illustrated Romance.
Amanda: Everything looks so soft!
Elyse: They look like they just had some awesome sex and now everyone is ready for a nap.
Carrie: Snuggles and tulle!
Elyse: Those would be amazing names for a pair of French Bulldogs
Amanda: Now we have to start a SBTB animal shelter.
Elyse: No because we’d adopt them all.
Amanda: A GIRL CAN DREAM, ELYSE!
Elyse: That coral red is one of my favorite colors. This cover is so beautiful.
Carrie: I love the colors and the attitude.
Amanda: I met the sister authors in person at BEA and they were so lovely! And the cover colors are even more vibrant in person.
Amanda: I love all the details in this one. The nail polish! The jewelry! The wallpaper!
Carrie: I love the color scheme and contrasting patterns
Elyse: The details are so beautiful.
Thank you for including the name of the cover design artist/company when it’s available. These covers are so lovely, it’s great to give credit where credit’s due.
A hearty endorsement for Snuggles & Tulle, the French bulldogs!
I’d steal those names for our office kittens, but “snuggles” & “cat” do not usually go together.
As a queer person, I get so, so emotional when I see two women embracing on the cover of a historical clinch cover. It’s everything I wanted when I was a teenager!
In Dear Haiti I not only love the colors but I love all the circles — the way her sunglasses are echoed by her earring and the big round mounds of her hair. It makes it look at once bouncy and welcoming.
Next month, please include the cover of “A Little Light Mischief” by Cat Sebastian! SOOOOOO pretty!
Maybe it’s just me but…I didn’t find the cover of The Lady and Her Secret Lover to be particularly sexy. It felt a little like awkward straight girls hugging while thinking of other people. Maybe it’s the weird thing where her shoulder seems to be broken or missing? Although, femme4femme historicals are my jam, so this certainly won’t keep me from reading it!
I read ARCs of both DEAR HAITI and AMERICAN ROYALS that I got at the TxLibraryAssociation’s Annual Conference…I’m just here to say that both are as delightful as their amazing covers suggest.
