  • Reindeer Games

    Reindeer Games by Andie Christopher

Reindeer Games is available for preorder for only 99c! This features nine holiday romances with a snowed in theme, and it comes out December 1. I’ll definitely be preordering this one as it features some authors that I absolutely love. Are you interested as well?

These are the games people play when they’re snowed in, caught in a storm, and stuck with the ones they can’t resist.

Nine best-selling and award-winning authors bring sexy stories to steam up your holiday nights.

In celebration of the holidays, a portion of proceeds will be donated to No Kid Hungry.

    DYSFUNCTIONAL by Eve Dangerfield
Country club waitress Jessica’s track record is so bad she’s sworn off men for the foreseeable future. That was before she realised he’s not like anyone who came before.

GRIEVANCES AND GLITTER by Kelly Maher
When a rock star and an attorney find themselves stuck in a cabin in the woods, the reluctantly reunited lovers aren’t sure if they should curse their matchmaking friends…or thank them

HAVE YOURSELF A BILLIONAIRE FOR CHRISTMAS by Tracey Livesay

WAITING IN VAIN by Charlotte Stein
When Nancy is invited to spend Christmas with her sister-in-law’s family, she is pretty sure it’s gonna be wall to wall wholesome, polite party games and stuffing her face with mince pies. • Miranda and Caliban

Miranda and Caliban by Jacqueline Carey

Miranda and Caliban by Jacqueline Carey is $2.99! This has been on my TBR list forever and I just love the cover. This is somewhat of a retelling of The Tempest, though it primarily features Miranda and Caliban (obviously). Readers loved the writing in this one, but found things to be too dense at times.

Miranda is a lonely child. For as long as she can remember, she and her father have lived in isolation in the abandoned Moorish palace. There are chickens and goats, and a terrible wailing spirit trapped in a pine tree, but the elusive wild boy who spies on her from the crumbling walls and leaves gifts on their doorstep is the isle’s only other human inhabitant. There are other memories, too: vague, dream-like memories of another time and another place. There are questions that Miranda dare not ask her stern and controlling father, who guards his secrets with zealous care: Who am I? Where did I come from?

The wild boy Caliban is a lonely child, too; an orphan left to fend for himself at an early age, all language lost to him. When Caliban is summoned and bound into captivity by Miranda’s father as part of a grand experiment, he rages against his confinement; and yet he hungers for kindness and love.

  • Masked Possession

    Masked Possession by Alana Delacroix

Masked Possession by Alana Delacroix is 99c! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals. This was an interesting paranormal romance, as it featured abilities that I haven’t read about before. The world building was great, though the book loses some of its steam toward the end.

A MAN WHO CAN WEAR ANY FACE

Caro Yeats doesn’t run from much. As a former investigative reporter now working PR for Toronto’s supernaturals, what she hasn’t seen mostly isn’t worth seeing. But the assignment to “rebrand” Eric Kelton’s out-of-control alter egos has her on edge from the start. Kelton is the heirarch of the Masquerada, beings able to change their face—their entire persona—on a whim. Eric’s charisma muddles her instincts. How can she trust a man who can become anybody?

    A WOMAN WITHOUT A PAST

Eric has never met anyone like Caro, with her lightning wit and uncanny insight. But desirable as she is, he’d be a fool to let her near. Struggling to hide the sudden loss of his powers, Eric can’t risk becoming entangled with a woman who scorns her supernatural side and claims not to play politics. The enemies on her trail are strong, clever, and vicious. And when they force Eric and Caro together, the fallout could shatter far more than two hearts . . .

  • Mr. Right Next Door

Mr. Right Next Door by Farrah Rochon

Mr. Right Next Door by Farrah Rochon is 99c! This is part of the Camp Firefly Falls series. Most of the books have different authors, so this should be find as a standalone. Readers loved the hero and the fake relationship aspect, but warn that if you’re looking for drama and angst, this isn’t the book for you.

When Leah Cross’s fiancé decides he no longer wants to get married, the hardworking finance analyst is determined to attend the couple’s retreat at Camp Firefly Falls anyway. But after being dumped, the humiliation of showing up alone is too much for Leah to bear. She needs a stand-in ASAP. At the top of her list: her hot next-door neighbor, Caleb Scott.

For the past four months undercover detective Caleb Scott has been on self-imposed desk duty following an on-the-job incident that shattered his confidence. A weekend fishing trip with his buddies was supposed to be the perfect opportunity for Caleb to clear his mind and make some hard decisions about his future, but after they all bail on him, he’s stuck trying to figure out what to do with his time off. That is, until the neighbor he’s been secretly lusting after for a year invites him to join her at a summer camp for adults.

Can this platonic weekend in the mountains blossom into something more? It will if Caleb has anything to say about it.

Adriana Anders, Ainsley Booth, Eve Dangerfield, Charlotte Stein, et. al., for 99-cents?? Oh, yes please! Preordering right now!

  2. Floating Lush says:

I checked out Miranda and Caliban from the library, but it ended up beaing a DNF for me. The writing was dense and gorgeous, and I thought she was doing interesting things with the story, but I was pretty uncomfortable with how Caliban was portrayed, and it just reached a point of too much ickiness for me to continue.

  3. Amanda says:

@Floating Lush: Would you mind elaborating on the ickiness? I have it on my TBR, but I’ll look for any excuse to whittle it down and take this one off.

  4. MirandaB says:

I went into heavy skim on M&C and still found it depressing.

  5. Maria Vale says:

Miranda and Caliban was a beautiful book and I would say that Caliban, while imperfect, is constant and loving to the one person who deserves it. If he acts out against Prospero, that manipulative, self-important git, it’s because he deserves it, too. I love Jacqueline Carey’s writing and if she calculated the tip on a napkin, I’d buy it. I loved this, too, but if I could, I would write Miranda and Caliban a HEA cause this ending broke my heart.

  6. L. says:

I really shouldn’t be looking at this page. I just got a notice from my Kindle that it’s almost full, and it’s all from books I haven’t got around to reading yet.
