Thanks to Reader Suzanne for sending me this Kickstarter link for Consentacle! Consentacle is “a card game of human-alien intimacy.”

In Consentacle, you and a partner squirm your way to a mutually satisfying Human x Alien romance… with or without the benefit of verbal communication! You’ll need to divine the other’s desires in order to build trust, play your cards right, and transform mutual trust into starry satisfaction. How tingly will your interplanetary liaison feel in the end? Will your encounter leave one party sweaty and exhausted, the other hungering for more? It’s up to the two of you to find out… together!

The game has already been successfully backed, but the Kickstarter is your chance to get your hands on it early!

iGo Keyjuice Keyring

The iGo is an itty bitty tool that unfolds to one USB connection, plus a USB and a USB Micro, so you can plug your phone into your laptop, or into a portable battery. Excellent for tiny emergency kits, too.

May I present to you one of the funniest GoFundMe campaigns I’ve ever seen of a date gone wrong:

I recently took a girl I met on tinder to Nandos. We had a lovely evening, and enjoyed each others company very much. After our meal, we repaired back to my house for a bottle of wine and a scientology documentary.

About an hour in to Louis Theroux and chill, my date got up to use the toilet. She returned with a panicked look in her eye, and told me she had something to tell me.

“I went for a poo in your toilet”, she told me “and it would not flush. I don’t know why I did this, but I panicked”, she continued “I reached into the toilet bowl, wrapped it in tissue paper, and threw it out of the window”.

Trust me, you’re going to want to keep reading.

Also…let me introduce you to the Pasta Grannies! It’s a YouTube channel where lovely little nonne show you their pasta-making recipes and secrets.

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

    That date gone wrong was amazingly awful, and I have never wanted a couple to stay together more.

  2. Shana says:

    I really really want a “Disrupt the patriarchy Read Romance” on a lovely stone coaster that I can put out for all my guests to see. Not a big fan of the paper coasters, but the stone ones are great.

    I’d also be happy to put a “Bad Decisions Book Club” stone coaster on my desk at work…as a warning to all.

    Any chance you can add those to Zazzle?! <3

  3. I am so glad my boss left early today. I would not have found myself reading about a disastrous date that involved a clogged toilet and the fire brigade. I was having a tough day, but this was great.

  4. Trefoil says:

    Yeah, I totally kickstarted that in the hopes that it will arrive in time for the moustache’s birthday.

  6. No, the Other Anne says:

    I have cross-posted RHG’s trip link to the London Readers of Romance group on Goodreads, which also includes some readers from more northerly cities. Wish I could be there!

    Thank you thank you thank you for the link to the window/poo situation Go Fund Me page! I have had one of the longest weeks of my life between a scary-ass Hurricane Irma, evacuations with my family of six, and No A/C IN FLORIDA that I needed snort laugh of a story today and I am pulling for that couple!

  8. Gloriamarie says:

    About that Go FundMe… I am positive all of us are wondering if they continued to date or not.

    I can just imagine them getting married, having kids and struggling to answer the question “How did mommy and daddy meet and fall in love?”

    BTW, where were the tentacles? I didn’t see any.

  9. Amanda says:

    @Gloriamarie: The tentacles are present in the Consentacles Kickstarter campaign!

  10. Gloriamarie says:

    @Amanda , where please?

  11. Amanda says:

    @Gloriamarie: It’s sandwiched between the Kindle Unlimited ad and the SB Loves graphic. Here’s the direct link!

  12. Gloriamarie says:

    @Amanda, goodness gracious!!
