Losing Patients by Virginia Taylor is .09. Nine Whole Cents. Yes. Not sure what’s up with that, but I won’t question it. This is a medical romance published by Random Romance (aka Random House Australia — not like the Random Integer Generator starting publishing romance) that has a strong suspense element. It does have a 4+ star average, but there are only 7 total ratings, so it’s grain of reviewer salt time.
I’m not one to quibble too much with a .09 book, but… if her patients are dying, why is she so happy on the cover? Is she really tough, “Yeah, it’s sad, but that guy was a dickweed?” The cover makes it look more like a medical contemporary romance (which are way more popular outside the US as I understand it, though I really like them myself) than a romantic suspense, so be ye warned. There be suspense! (Or she’s the killer, in which case this .09 book got a WHOLE LOT WEIRDER.)
So, anyway, it’s .09. I don’t even like suspense and I’m buying it.

Kobo is actually having a crazy sale on Random House Australia books. (I think Amazon might have price matched on a few.) Some of them are as low as $.04. There are 21 romance books and most are less than $.50. I even picked up a few cookbooks though I think the conversion on measurements might prove difficult. There are several books by Loretta Hill which are not tagged in the metadata as romance, but are per Fiction DB and the author’s website: The Girl in the Hard Hat is 36¢.
The Girl in the Yellow Vest was 59¢ but now it shows as $24.49 so maybe the sale is nearly over.
